Andre Ward is going to need another name to make good money compared to a guy like Canelo.

Besides Heavyweight and Stevenson, the only other guy Ward can make good money with is Tony Bellew.

These fights with Kovalev RNS either lost a few or broke even.

But the amount of tickets sold a little over 6,000 which was half of the capacity at Mandalay Bay and the 130,000 PPV buys is not a good sign for Ward.
??? Cotto made like $52,000,000++ against Canelo. Canelo and GB got fleeced. Dumb ***s and Roc Nation. Did JACK SHT but collect a check

$2.3m in tickets sold, at least $9m generated on PPV, 5-7 event sponsors, Sky Sports paying up for the UK rights.

Selling tickets at an avg price of $350 (though dealing with the comps) versus selling 2 for $15 tickets to pack in a venue, I'd rather be working from the $350, lol

Not talking about Cotto's overall pay he received after PPV revenue, gate, etc...

Talking about his guaranteed $50 millon dollar contract for 3 fights that he signed with RNS. The Cotto-Canelo fight is the only fight that RNS made a "PROFIT"

That fight Cotto's guaranteed purse didn't effect them because it was a major PPV success and gate success.

we get that the casual fans don't like him, AND we get why

in saying that..... Ward/Kovalev averaged 150k, which is exactly what Golovkin sold with Lemieux in his only US PPV

that is IF you believe the (secondary) figures that were released..... because I heard that they sold 97,000

          I thought that Gennady was this action-packed super-hero..... ?

should Golovkin fans REALLY be here bashin Ward's numbers?

it's not like Golovkin is pulling Canelo numbers or anything
The two Ward-Kovalev fights, according to what's been publicly disclosed, have averaged what only Tom Loeffler has publicly confirmed for Golovkin's only PPV attempt, at a significantly higher price point.

Imagine Golovkin trying to sell a $500 ticket, let alone a $1000 ticket, lol

I find it funny how so many people can be duped into believing that Roc Nation's goal was to turn Ward into a cash cow.

If u believe that, then u probably believe in Santa Clause.

I don't see Roc Nation being successful like Golden Boy or Top Rank. Their promoting practices need to improve greatly.

I'm thinking they either exit the boxing business or if they stay they won't be a top promoter like GBP, Top Rank or Eddie Hearn and Matchroom.

              Golovkin-Jacobs was PPV
did only a little bit better at 170,000 PPV buys

I just saw you mentioned Golovkin's only U.S. PPV was Lemieux.

But yeah, not big numbers. The UK PPV with Brook did 500,000 PPV buys, a lot of that is Brook of course and the PPV out there is equivalent to about $27 a buy in U.S. cash.

Wish our PPV's were that economical, Lol.
