They aren't getting any press til Aug. 27th whatever language Canelo is doing interviews in. The got 3 weeks to sell this fight to the casuals, sports fans & non-sports fans to make it as big as possible.

Thats a whole other problem doe. And thats why I think this fight doesn't do as well as some think. I mean I can see this fight doing less then 1M still.

I do think Canelo's got that ingrained Mexican independence day audience doe that is probably good for 400k-500k buys out of the gate vs anyone & its just a matter of how many other hardcore fans + non-hardcore fans attention they get from there with the addition of GGG, the overall excitement of this matchup + the wind in the sail or not in the sail post-Floyd vs Conor with the non-hardcore fans. And right now with how negatively the casuals are looking at boxing due to Manny vs Horn things aren't looking good to be looking great for Canelo vs GGG post Floyd vs Conor lol.

Rough situation for GBP potentially. I expect them to use there 3 weeks wisely doe, cuz I do think Oscar hires good people, & I suspect they are deep into planning how to best use there 3 weeks to advertise this fight as we speak.

yeah 500 to 800k is a good estimate! 1 million would exceed expectations! Even american casuals know the name chavez thats why that fight did so well

IIRC at one point in time GB did promote Lara and they undercut him pretty badly. Against Paul Williams I think he only recieved a 4 figure sum.
