2 years ago?? He was fighting James Kirkland in a Non-title junior middleweight bout.

You know Miguel Cotto was the MW Champion then??? Damn GGG has the FKN DUMBEST POS fans on the PLANET.

Cotto is another POS that ran from GGG. As far as the timing, WTFE, ginger ran for at least a year.

I like GGG, but he is not one of my favorites. My problem with these scenarios is that these parasite promoters and ABC groups steal glory from these fighters.

Remove all the BS ducking and dodging, and GGG would have already conquered MW, or maybe ginger would have won and not been criticized by nearly every Mexican great of the past for being a p u s s y and not fighting GGG.

These fighters primes don't last long, and politics robs them of the greatness that they could possibly achieve.

Since your speaking of brains, maybe you should be smart enough to know why ginger ran for over a year. Go look in the mirror, and as the image of a p u s s y b i t c h looks back at you, the answer may pop into your head. Lol

I don't think this fight will live up to the hype. I just think it's sketchy for GGG to talk about retirement before the biggest fight of his career. I hope I'm wrong.

I do think Canelo's got that ingrained Mexican independence day audience doe that is probably good for 400k-500k buys out of the gate vs anyone & its just a matter of how many other hardcore fans + non-hardcore fans attention they get from there with the addition of GGG, the overall excitement of this matchup + the wind in the sail or not in the sail post-Floyd vs Conor with the non-hardcore fans. And right now with how negatively the casuals are looking at boxing due to Manny vs Horn things aren't looking good to be looking great for Canelo vs GGG post Floyd vs Conor lol.

Rough situation for GBP potentially. I expect them to use there 3 weeks wisely doe, cuz I do think Oscar hires good people, & I suspect they are deep into planning how to best use there 3 weeks to advertise this fight as we speak.
PPV fights, in general, are on the decline in the U.S. For a while, there was a PPV fight every few months. That business model is history. Even though the Mayweather August fight will not have much impact, the Canelo/Golovkin fight will struggle to get more than a million buys. This is a straight ahead good fight between two skilled pros, but unfortunately, people also want silliness, trash talking and strange antics. These guys can't deliver on that score.

I don't buy this as a avid PPV nerd. I think the fact the two biggest PPV stars in boxing over the last decade & more who are retired although comebacking in August & just took a L Saturday not being in the sport or the same draw as they used to be accounting for all the 1M+ buy fights over the last 15 years in boxing (minus the alleged 1M mark Canelo vs Chavez hit recently) has more to do with the less impressive figures we've seen lately.

Until Conor went down the boxing rabbithole, Rousey took her ball & went home & other previous MMA PPV draws started turning down fights &/or getting old & less of a draw themselves the UFC was putting in record PPV numbers for them & they have 5 of the 6 1M buy PPV's in combat sports since the Floyd vs Manny fight.

PPV isn't dead its merely sleeping til boxing finds its next stars or the biggest names around right now claim that superstar level perhaps with a win over GGG for Canelo or a win over Wilder for Joshua or some other guy makes himself known more to the casual fans.

Jus because they pay big up front guarantee money and buy out a lot of the expensive ringside seats

Promoters in boxing don't think long term. Put it in a big stadium with prices that ensure it will be filled and you'll make new fans

1 year ago GGG was smashing House Arrest Wade and then brought a 147 lber up 13 lbs.

1 year ago Andre Ward was available at only 8lbs higher!!!

SHT LHW is ONLY 15 lbs. Why ONLY Brook has to move up while your GOD stays at 160 his ENTIRE FKN LIFE!!! Canelo started his pro at 139...

Go back to sleep ******. I'll bet you fkn $$$$$ GGG NEVER fights at 168 this year or next! Sht every year once you pay we can double up.

I don't think so. If Chavez/Canelo can do over 1 million I'm sure this should be able to.

But then again GGG fans don't even know about this fight. Some POS RTARD earlier keeps saying Canelo is ducking GGG.
