Imo the boxing scoring system needs to change or have modifications added.

    Scenario A.
Having a very close round (i.e 19 vs 20 punches landed) and the judges swing it to one guy = 10-9

    Scenario B.
Having a round where one guy totally dominates the other guy (i.e 5 vs 35 punches landed) but doesn't drop him = 10-9

That is just totally messed up. They have to start looking at the whole fight in general.
Because by current rules the guy who had 7 rounds of scenario A gets 115 pts whereas the guy who gets 5 rounds of scenario B gets 113 points so it's 115-113 but whi really won the fight.

Also, the sport needs to start using replays and video a lot more for the refereeing as well as the judging.

    State your thoughts.
Oh geez, are you gonna cry about Manny like you've been whining about Ward making kovalev do the Russian shuffle?

Where is your opinion instead of the same "you're still butthurt" rhetoric? All you do is spew the stame ****** crap comebacks, but never actually give any meaningful insight on any topic.

Imagine in basketball you win the first quarter 35-17 but lose the second 25-24 and at halftime the score is 1-1.

            lmao exactly

it does need to be revamped, I know people don't like change but this **** is some dinosaur age ****

the scoring system needs to be updated

I'm not even saying this at all in reaction to what happened last night...I've felt this way for a while now. It makes zero f**king sense to have dominant, one sided rounds carry as much weight as a razor thin swing round that's decided by a single jab

In the old days... they didn't have camera angles and technology... it might be better for judges to use tv monitors to score.

Still have 3 judges ringside, and then have one Judge using a monitor and the 5th judge is the ringside respected boxing analysts. The 5th judge rewards the fighter who has the majority support of analysts.

Do this for title fights. The winner is the one who gets 3 of the 5 judges.

''Fights are scored round by round. If one fighter is showing more effective aggression and he is out landed in a round by 1-5 punches, there's a good chance the more active fighter will win the round. Judges often award the round to the fighter who looks more comfortable in the ring.''

^^^^^ THIS train of thought is what fncks up scoring.

                landing more >>>>>>> ''activity''

Because adding 3 rounds would make it safer.
