You probably need a heavyweight to actually knock out Shafikov. There is no such thing as getting his respect!

Completely different fighting style. I've never seen Loma grit it the way Shafikov just did

This was a very good fight; It was as good as advertised. While Shavfikov was game and easier the busier of the two fighters, I believe that Easter edged it out with the cleaner and more sharper punching.

Robert needs to work more on his defense since he is not a huge puncher with a high work rate. He must find ways to neutralize his opponents offense.

As long as he kept moving and keeping the action in the center ring by circling he did just fine. However whenever he allowed the guy to get up too close by laying on the ropes and swarming him, he got outworked.

Lastly, that 120-108 score was atrocious, if I must say so myself. That fight was a lot closer than that.

I have no problem with Easter getting the decision. But 120-108 was criminal. If Broner-Garcia hadn't been signed, I probably would have driven up to Toledo for the weekend and watched this one. Now, I'm glad I didn't. Because I probably wouldn't have made it outta that building alive. Because I would have been very vocal about the level of bull**** those scores were. Not blaming Easter or anyone on his team of anything shady. But this pretty much guarantees that nobody decent is gonna be willing to come to Toledo to fight Robert. Just pathetic.

if this had been a Top Rank card or a Golden Boy card, there would be 50 posts from the usual clowns about how "Arum bribed the judges" or "Oscar paid off the judges" etc etc etc, but since its a Haymon card its nothing but "oh maybe a bad scorecard but right guy won doe" lol

Yeah, I don't get involved in these promoter/network wars, I think it's fair to say, in most cases, the hometown/star fighter will get the decision in a close fight, regardless of who the promoter is. Not the way it should be, but it's almost an unwritten rule. But yesterday was an extreme case, it really is mind boggling how a fight that was fought on even terms for 12 rounds can be scored a shutout.
