I don't have a problem with you (God Bless You), I just like facts so when I see something that doesn't fit or make sense I jump on it cuz I have been in that ring & I try to keep it 100.Comment

people always claim to want good fights, they claim everyone is ducking their fav fighter... then when they get called out they make excuses and bring up the past?????? I don't get itComment

"Is that not what they asked for to do the fight? Well, we're indulging them. The ball is in their court. Let's see what they do. ''
"Rigo can climb to 126 or 130 to fight there without having to drop his 122-pound belt. Right now we are reviewing all of the possible alternatives, but the main objective is Lomachenko."
This doesn't make sense to me. If Rigo's "main objective" is getting a fight with Loma, and Loma's manager has said they will fight him at 130 .. then how does that put the ball in Loma's court?
"Let's see what they do"
They don't need to do anything. You need to do what Klimas told you to do ... stop twittering and tweeting and contact Bob Arum for some serious talk.Comment

This is probably similar to the Lara case."Is that not what they asked for to do the fight? Well, we're indulging them. The ball is in their court. Let's see what they do. ''

Decubas tweets and tweets and tweets using Lara's account.
In reality, Decubas and Lara don't have to do anything other than talk with Haymon and Al would start the ball rolling.
But Decubas and Lara would just rather talk and tweet.
In Rigo's case all he has to do is instruct his manager to make phone calls and the manager in turn would talk to the Roc exec, if he is still with them, to start the negotiations. I don't know what is so complicated about that.
What I'd like to hear is has Roc people contacted Arum?Last edited by rickJen; 06-29-2017, 10:40 AM.Comment

Really want to see this fight so hope I'm wrong but how often has Rigo wanted a fight and then asked for ****** money, the article says hes willing to fight at 130 for the right terms. Until there's an actual back and forward between promoters to see what hes after its that flaky a statement he might as well said for the right money he would fight Joshua at heavyweight.Comment

Unless they do that, the fight won't happen, because Arum certainly isn't going to contact them. Rigo, or maybe Rigo's team, are not exactly Arum's favourite people! This is probably similar to the Lara case.

And yeah, this does remind me a lot of what was going on with Lara and GGG.
Lara didn't really want to fight GGG for the kind of money he could realistically expect to get for it. And, imo, the same thing applies to Rigo with Loma.
Rigo is a great little fighter, but nobody is going to give maybe 8/10lbs away to a guy like Loma and beat him.
In the lower divisions, the money just isn't there to pay Rigo what he would want - and deserve - for moving up two divisions and taking an L.Comment

If he initiates the talks he would be confronted with tons of demands as if Loma
was the one who started the twitter exchanges.
There is not even a motivation to do it as the guy can't draw flies.
Casuals don't like him. Only hardcores most of which are the usual people asking for free streams.
Even then I was surprised when Arum offered to make the fight in 2015
only to be cursed and called all sorts of names when they themselves were
the ones who set their price, which was $500K.Last edited by rickJen; 06-29-2017, 11:23 AM.Comment

Funny thing is Klimas all of sudden is saying he's just a manager and they need to go through Top Rank to make the fight but yet he's the one talking to Robert Garcia about making a fight between Loma and Mikey. We all know there's no way of Arum allowing a Loma/Mikey fight but it hasn't stopped Klimas from talking to Robert. Klimas a well aware that Arum would never make a fight with Rigo again so he tells them to negotiate with Top Rank so he won't get blamed for the fight not happening. Loma will fight another Top Rank fighter or some lower lever fighter from a small promotional company.Comment
