I mean, all this talk of 1 punch and he can end a fight implies that Wilder literally needs 1 punch, in which case almost all of his fights would be over in the early rounds would they not?

Yet it took 5 rounds to knockout novice Gerald Washington. 8 rounds to knock out a waaaaay over the hill Arreola, 9 rounds to land that punch of Szpilka, 11 rounds to land the punch against Duhaupas, 9 rounds to land the punch on Molina and he didn't land 'the punch' at all on Stiverne (although in fairness he had a broken hand for that one).

The facts just do not fit the narrative.

The reality is is that Wilder does have the power to get Joshua out of there, but it's certainly not "1 punch and done" and Joshua (who has a 100% knockout ratio in case you forgot) certainly has the power to get Wilder out of there too. For that reason I would always go with Joshua as he is simply a better boxer in my eyes, but Wilder could not be discounted from winning either.

I'd say 60/40 Joshua when the fight happens.
Hello, Joshua is just too slow as compared to Deontay Wilder. He's a split second behind him on pulling the trigger. Deontay gets his punches off much quicker than Joshua which gives him a distinct advantage over him.

In addition, Wilder can stick and move. While Joshua cannot not. He is not as static or as flat-footed as Anthony Joshua. Moreover, Joshua chin can be easily found and is very easy to hit.

Just ask the 41 year old Wladimir Klitschko with shot reflexes and diminished skills can AJ's chin be easily be found, hit and hurt? If the answer is yes, then just imagine what a younger version of Deontay Wilder would do to him?

Wilder had a hard time with very average European fighters, like Duhaupas and Szpilka. Yes, he can KO everybody, but it took him 11 rounds to stop Duhaupas and 9 for Szpilka? Joshua is far betetr and stromnger than both of them..

Do you genuinely believe Wilder would last beyond the first round or two. The moment Joshua decides to let the first right go Wilder is gone.

Wilder is possibly the worst heavyweight champion in history after the man who walks this earth like a God of course.

To be a success in the division all you need is power ? How do you explain Tyson 'Fists of Fluff' Furry holding the belts for 145 seconds then ?

You're contesting Joshua is actually a skilled boxer ? Ok you've accepted AJ is better boxer than Wilder but are insinuating their is not a wide margin ? That's pathetic man, all I take from that is you're trolling. I don't discuss boxing with trolls.

Let me repeat; He's very slow my friend. He fights like his feet are stuck in cement. In addition, he's too wide and muscular to evade punches. Wilder is the more lean, versatile and flexible of the two. Which will make it that much easier for him to equalize him with that right hand of his.

Your narrative that Joshua is slow is purely based off of his size and not from watching him fight...

I don't doubt that Wilder has quicker foot speed and can stick and move better... but Joshua just cuts off the ring so to negate those that stick and move.

Beyond that Joshua's hand speed is not slow at all, it really wouldn't be a stretch to claim that Joshua throws combinations faster than Wilder. Sure Joshua can be hit, but he's shown against an extremely powerful Klitschko that he can take being hit.

Also Wilder is not some elusive boxer like Roy Jones that can avoid being hit... he gets hit often by guys that throw slower single punches let alone the quick, thudding combos Joshua throws.

Not saying Wilder has no chance against Joshua at all, but the notion that he's too big and too slow to touch Wilder when Wilder gets tagged oby guys with a shorter reach and a slower punch often enough is just farcical.

Wilder has some of the worst footwork I've witnessed, his balance and coordination are poor, the guy falls over throwing punches. When he throws combinations their is a genuine fear he will take off into the sunset, hence why he always fights in arenas and not open top stadia, it's a contractual obligation he demands for his own safety. 'I gotta have a roof on the arena in case it's windy and I fall over' what he's really trying to say is he don't wanna take off and turn up trying to find his way home using a yellow brick road.

Just Tell Hearn to get him in the ring with Wilder as soon as possible and you will witness everything, that I am talking about. What is Eddie afraid of? Let Deonaty box off the back foot and watch Wilder land one of those laser right hands of his that sends AJ to the canvas out cold.

Would be a good fight and i think AJ isn't as good as people say and I also think wilder is better than people make out. However, I still back AJ to win by a tko in round 7/8

What is Hearn afraid of? Probably of being sued by Klitschko for breaching contract, or for Joshua to be stripped by the IBF for not facing his mandated opponent...

Everybody knows that Klitschko has a rematch clause and that Pulev has to be faced afterwards prior to a unification else Joshua will be stripped by the IBF.

Only people that cannot accept that are fanboys who want to claim that Wilder is being ducked. On that I'm out... no point having a discussion with someone that isn't capable of a shred of objectivity.
