Remember when Hopkins faked an injury vs. Dawson and robbed those in attendance and watching on PPV of their hard earned money?
I don't recall the fight being on PPV but I do remember Hopkins faking the injury. The fight didn't last long but Dawson looked pretty strong, Hopkins might have needed a plan B that night.

It's fine to criticise, but if the shoe was on the other foot im not sure many boxers would refuse 100 million to fight a big mouth boxing novice. Would Hopkins refuse? I doubt it.

Hopkins is selling out like a fool on this one. UFC wasn't hurt by Couture beating James Toney; they actually celebrate it every chance they get. Here is a chance for a retired 40yr old fighter to beat a 28yr old dual champ. It will actually show a superiority of boxing over MMA, at the very least they can never bring up Toney again. Its just more hating from the GB side because Floyd will make their PPV flop. If any group deserves it its GB

There cant be many reasons, for you to say...dont take this money for.....some fictitious "good for boxing" statement, its called PRIZE fighting, and they are fighting for a large prize. I guess it would've been better for boxing, if mayweather ran from a fight with a mma guy, tucked tail and ran from a mma guy whose offering 100 mil, you guys where mad at floyd for turning down margarito for 7 mil.
but now when boxing gets to be showcased vs its biggest rival, in combat sports, "its bad".
If your boss came to you and said I WANNA PAY YOU MORE TO DO YOUR SAME JOB, BUT I'M GONNA MAKE IT EASIER. WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER, but for some reason FLOYD should tuck tail and run, be a coward, turn down 100mil
That would be more damaging to boxing. so its gotta be racism, because there is NO REASON for Floyd MONEY Mayweather to turn down this fight.
Margarito loading his gloves was/is bad for boxing,
Maidana lifting his foot off of the canvas to knee Floyd, bad for boxing.
All of the rabbit punching by kov
People claiming every close boxing match that goes to a decision, is a ROBBERY. Bad for boxing
People claiming the judges where paid off, thats bad for boxing.
But a prize fighter fighting for a prize IS NOT.
You forgot the tag team of Floyd Bayless and Floyd Mayweather...

This is a pure money grab, plain & simple! McGregor has no business being in the ring. Dude wouldn't even beat Rod Salka!!! Age doesn't mean shiet in this lopsided affair, so there is no way to sell this piece of garbage to a halfway intelligent fan of either sport!

Ah news Flash. Coutoure Beat James Comey in the first round in an MMA ring in brutal humiliating fashion. Off course that didn't hurt UFC. It actually gave UFC credibility as a real sport.

Now if Floyd couldn't do the same in a boxing ring and ends up having to see McGregor still up in 6 rounds more so 12 rounds. That will be embarrassing not only to Floyd but to boxing as a whole, since a so called elite can't even put down a white belter lol
