God damn they bent that boy over. Canelo is picking and choosing what belts he wants to fight for. The champion, GGG, doesn't have a rematch clause and the champion is walking in the ring first. After that Jacobs fight GGG got so scared of losing out on the Canelo fight he refused to take anymore risks and settled for whatever Oscar was offering.

the only other option they had was Saunders

because, Golovkin does not want to move up to 168

it was time for Canelo, because they had no other choice

not saying that Saunders is the boogieman, just that they have a healthy respect for his boxing ability..... and they realize that Golovkin could come out of that fight with even less credibility having been the firm favorite.....

they did not want to risk Golovkin failing to put Saunders away, looking bad, or worse..... immediately following the Jacobs fight

even failing to put Saunders away would likely have cost Golovkin money at the negotiating table with Canelo..... because it kinda sounds like GBP screwed him anyway
