    Most definitely.

I have a few casual boxing fans who rely on me to tell them when a big fight is up. I wasn't really going to tell them about the rematch because teh first fight was so laughable but I thought, oh what the heck. They watched it and every single one of them asked, "why was the fight stopped?"

After that the conversation moved onto corruption in the sport and yet more bad taste for people looking to get into boxing.

      To resume:
      - Ward struggled to survive against Kovalev rounds 1 through 6, then hit him low a few times to regain some advantage, and then when even his best right shot hit Kovalev flush on the chin, and he saw that it didn't drop him, he reverted to lowblows and won the fight by the worst stoppage possible.
      - Kellerman publicly licked Ward's balls and anus.
      - PPV was an even bigger flop than the first time.
      - Ward was awarded #1 p4p for his survival and foul bodywork skills.
      - Roc Nation cuts ties with apparently the #1 p4p in the world, and are well on their way to be out of business.
      - No matter what all the Wardtards here say, most of them, as well as most fans in general, will still get a lot more enjoyment from watching Kovalev fight rather than Ward in the future.

The two fights were supposed to be clean as both fighters were known to be good boxers. Yet they're plagued with issues.

One fight can't define boxing. Fans have to deal with the good and the bad. Controversial fights and decisions have been there since the sport began. Overall boxing has given us more than it's taken.

Not enough people watched for it to have any impact

All we do know is that it was a premature stoppage ultimately stopped by low blows.
Again, due to your inability to view anything even remotely related to Andre Ward with even a sliver of objectivity, your opinion means less than nothing. Remember you're the low life ****sukker that accused Ward of being a wife beater, claimed to have the links to back it up the when pressed for those links produced ZERO.

                    Neither fighter is very mainsteam.

And most of the boxingscene type fans just wanted their guy to win by any means and have never even sparred.

Did it turn off the 10 remaining "hardcore boxing fans" who wanted to see a conclusive ending? Probably, but I don't think they've mattered in a while.

I saw a lot of mockery about the "KO" gif to the balls on twitter the next couple days, but most of the people didn't even know who the fighters in it were and just thought it was a random nut shot meme.
