weren't you one of the clowns who insisted that Ward would duck Kovalev?

you clowns took 6x L's over those two fights

do you even know what that phrase means ?

why does Canastota refuse to recognize fighters until long after they retire?

you owe me an answer to that question

you answer that question, and I will break down what will happen if Canelo beats Golovkin in much greater detail

I don't think you understand how the HOF works
I don't think you realise that I don't actually give a fuck who wins or loses. I just enjoy watching the fights man. I used to be a little more emotionally involved but I got plenty enough going on IRL that the stuff on here long since ceased to matter. **** man, I just come here now to shoot the breeze and catch the news.

To answer your questions though: No I never insisted that Ward would either lose or pull out of either fight (though I believe I may have voiced that the 1st fight was unlikely to get made way back when). I favoured Kovalev in the first (and thought he narrowly deserved the nod) but maintained throughout that it was a 50 / 50 fight. I leaned towards Ward in the second by UD and suggested to those claiming it wouldn't happen that they should just be patient.

The phrase 'it makes Floyd look great'? No I don't know what you think it means. Maybe you need to enlighten me. What it sounds like is exactly what it sounded like when you had some weird Calzaghe fan claiming that all Hopkins' subsequent wins 'made Calzaghe greater'. I guess you agreed with that ****e too then didja?

I don't know why Canastota doesn't recognise fighters til some time after the dust settles but I always assumed it was because people tend to need a certain emotional distance in order to judge events in a proper historical context. The same reason why I often tell people on here (when they talk about this current fighter or that being an ATG or whatever) that they should leave that **** to the boxing historians of the future. We simply don't judge **** the same when it's recent or emotionally charged.

But I'm receptive to new ideas man. I could be wrong. Nothing is more likely. Open your mind to me. I'm sure once you get past your weird fanatical stuff you've got some interesting opinions.

Canelo will have to constantly turn Golovkin. Just take steps over in either direction and keep him off balance. I think his footwork is capable of that. Also, he's going to need to punch in between Golovkin's punches and break any timing or momentum he may try establish.

You don't think England and Mexico have knowledgeable boxing announcers?

              lets wait and see
No, it won't. Canelo will do the showier stuff. He'll give a valiant effort but will get worn down and put away. What he's shown against better competition means nothing. We will see.

Ah man. And there we were getting along so well. I feel like I've been left hanging on a high-five just waiting to be filled up with your Canastota knowledge.

Ah well. I'll get over it.

Can you at least explain what the HOF has to do with you making cringeworthy declarations of fanboyism though?

                  that is absolutely incorrect

you all said that about Andre Ward

Barrera/Brand did not prepare Ward for Kovalev

Ward's career/resume prepared him for Kovalev

you sound like a clueless butthurt kid

Q: son, if Canelo beats Golovkin, what will happen next..... ?

A: he will rule middleweight, and become the face of boxing

he could become an absolute legend

a legend, who got completely SCHOOLED and OUTCLASSED by the mercurial Mayweather..... losing every single round, and being unable to hit Mayweather with a handful of rice

if you don't understand how a stellar career from Canelo will impact on how his loss to Mayweather will be viewed by historians..... then you need to pay more attention to the sport you claim to love.....

shutting your pie-hole and listening to insiders would be a great way to start..... especially with your shocking track record

and attempting to be honest/unbiased should be your next step

                    good luck ^^

TIP: this is the ******est comment in your post above.....

"some weird Calzaghe fan claiming that all Hopkins' subsequent wins 'made Calzaghe greater'"

Canastota goes through your books at the end of your era, not at the end of your career...... the totality of your greatness is measure AFTER all of your achievements are in the book..... NOT BEFORE

FACT: Calzaghe's win over Hopkins will be held in higher regard now, than it would be if Hopkins retired immediately following that fight/loss

                    that comment above exposed you

how amusing/ironic that you should have listened/learned from the "weirdo" that you ridiculed

                    dumbass

WTF are you babbling about? I was offering people ban bets that Ward was going to beat Kovalev again. Go ahead and tell me how Canelo's career prepared him for Golovkin. This is starting to get boring.
