Comments Thread For: Canelo: I Have To Be Smart, Elusive, Not Stand in Front of GGG

Mexican superstar Saul Canelo' Alvarez believes there is likely to be a knockout when he challenges Kazakhstan legend Gennady Golovkin on September 16 for three versions of the world middleweight title in Las Vegas. Their bout is regarded as boxing's biggest world title fight since Floyd Mayweather Jr fought Manny Pacquiao in 2014.

Canelo plans on adding yet another attribute to his arsenal... footwork! If he pulls it off with movement, the rest of boxing is in trouble for long time!!

Canelo's handlers really have done a superb job up to this point.

and Canelo knows whats up, so they will have a great gameplan for Golovkin

they will work on counters for his somewhat predictable attack, and know which combinations will be the most effective

more and more confident about Canelo's chances in that fight

I think that Golovkin likely HAS to stop Canelo in order to win

        can't see it

Canelo is too good..... he is too well-prepared, and too skilled

        Canelo UD12

he could make Mayweather look GREAT in this fight

That is true but I'm hoping he's not talking about retreating. Besides, Canelo is not elusive. He has good head movement but his body is still there.

This doesn't sound promising so far.

RED ALERT! Canelo talking about being elusive, and implying that he shouldn't be standing in front of GGG

uh oh...for Canelo's style to be effective, he needs GGG in front of him so he can counter.

UH OH! not looking good when guy hints at switching his style up for just one dude

Canella can only be so elusive his worst skill is foot speed. So he can give angles stay out of corners as best he can he is no Jacobs only slightly faster than GGG
