triangle teories dont work in boxing, you should know that...
margo and cotto had much more power than marquez, but that didnt stop marquez from putting pac to sleep in an ugly way, it wasnt the power, it was the timing coming from a counter puncher, guess what? canelo is one of the best counterpunchers in the game and he has great timing... styles makes fights and this could be one for the ages...

Compare Marquez's ko ratio to that of Margarito and holla at me. Marquez has been a k.o. artist his entire career and it took Marquez four repeats to pull that off...most fighters don't have that luxury. Canelo being one of the best counter punchers against guys like Kirkland and Smith is laughable because his counter punching did absolutely nothing against elite level fighters.

people make a mistake thinking that canelos power gets the kos, it isnt, is his timing, he doesnt have the raw power that lemule or jacobs have, but he has a lot better timing and countering skills, being a counterpuncher is more difficult to stop guys that wont attack you as much, like chavez, cotto or lara, neither of those guys let hteir hands go for a reason, they wanted to make it to the final bell... but when your opponent brings the fight it plays right into your hands...

of course marquez has a great ko ratio, cuz he has great timing, but answer me, does he has more power than cotto or margo??
and by the way , other than floyd, his counterpunching did win him fights, lara , cotto, chavez did not let their hands go for a reason, cuz they wanted nothing of those counters, instead they were happy with making it to the final bell.. again, styles make fights...

            it's not about " powah " (sigh)

it's about technique/speed/timing/accuracy..... along with ringIQ/intelligence..... knowing what punch/combo to throw or setup, being in the right position and using the correct technique..... having the timing/speed/accuracy/variation to execute

Canelo is sharp, he has more than enough powah to keep Golovkin honest

that will be a boxing match just like the Jacobs fight
won't b like Jacobs fight.. Canelo doesn't have the length and size of Jacobs.

What's he gonna do when he realizes his power is know where to be found, ggg will brush away his jab and blast him with his own, canelo can't be that blind to see that all his opponents have been made for him to have a serious advantage over, with power speed catch weight

Cotto went toe to toe many times during their fight...can't say he "didn't let his hands go".

Going to be interesting when Canelo gets hit by somebody that isn't well past their prime or much smaller then him. Should be an interesting fight

True. Canelo hasn't been in there yet with anyone that has Golovkin's power. For Canelo thinking "he's going to do a real number on Golovkin" well that's a delusion. Does anyone on this forum think anyone at 160 can do a number on Golovkin? Yes they may have some limited success but its not bloody likely they'll put him away. Canelo is a talented guy so I'm hoping for at least a competitive fight.

I still think Canelo could manage to hurt Golovkin to the body.
