Paul Williams has no wins at 160. He was best at 147. Pavlik was a good win but GGG has

    Murray
    Geale
    Jacobs
    Lemieux
    Macklin
    Proska

    Vs

    Williams
    Pavlik
    Barker
    Macklin
    Chavez Jr

Golovkin. Better overall resume and more dominant.

They were ranked at middleweight when he fought them. And he has no losses where Sergio has a loss to Cotto moving up in weight.

I agree. In addition to that, Martinez was stopped by Margarito. If we're talking all time ratings you can't just ignore the fights that Martinez lost.

Fighter in italics are Martinez wins. I think they are relatively on par, but Martinez edges it with a better single win.
Pavlik was lineal, even though he was embarassed by Hopkins couple fights before.

Paul Williams was a nightmare for guys who cant handle his nonstop throwing, but I do think that he is a tad overrated, especially for a win at middleweight.

Chavez was never all that good, but the Freddie roach version that martinez had to face was decent enough to beat andy lee.

But if Golovkin beats Canelo, he has a deeper resume. Another thought, can you imagine Canelo Vs Pavlik? Canelo is fighting at middleweight now, but Pavlik was extremely big for 160.

Those you listed for Martinez were also ranked at middleweight and Martinez actually beat THE MAN at 160 at the time and is a 2 division champion
