You want us to believe that you a guy who hates Andre Ward so bad you accused him of spousal abuse, claimed you had the links to prove it, when pressed for those links, produce ZERO, actually picked Ward? LIAR!
You want us to believe that you a guy who when asked who among todays boxer would be ATGs, said Loma, g string, Fury, Beterbeiv, Usyk and KOVALEV (this post was between Kovalev/Ward fights), actually picked Ward? LIAR!Comment

I'm a huge fan of Golovkin, and I will be in for a shocker if Golovkin rolls through him.
Styles make fights. Canelo could pick apart Jacobs with his counters, and Golovkin would destroy Chavez because he has the skill for it. Canelo didn't 'struggle' with Chavez, he hurt him a bunch of times, toyed with him and embarassed him. Sure, he couldn't knock him out - but Canelo's knockouts come when the opponent is throwing something. Canelo is not a seek and destroy. He uses superior reflexes and timing to deliver an unexpected knockout blow.
Everyone thinks that Golovkin will sit and jab all night. You need to dig deeper. Watch the below vid from Wilson Kayden, made 2 years ago. The reason Golovkin's jab is so powerful and unstoppable is because his COUNTER jab is just as good. He counters his opponents jabs in the beginning of the fight, which teaches his opponents not to try it - which opens up the jab game for him.
Here's the problem, as you'll see in the vid - Canelo's own counter jab, and even other counter punches, are just as good as Golovkin's jab & counter jab. You can bet your ass Reynoso is working on countering that jab RIGHT NOW. They'll have a ton of little pitfalls and traps they'll prepare against that jab.
Canelo is excellent at fighting on the ropes, his reflexes are top notch, and his counters are dynamite. You may be severely underestimating him.
Your belief stems from Danny Jacobs being a better fighter than Canelo based on what you have said. I can categorically tell you that he is not a better fighter than Canelo. But you won't believe that until you see it, you are one of those people. I will not give you my opinion on the breakdown of the fight because its a waste of time, but here is some things which you may be missing:
Canelo's defensive movement in the pocket is razor sharp, and he throws counters off those movements. Danny Jacobs has better footwork but he does not have anything near the defensive skill or awareness of Canelo in punching range. I say this particularly because if you think GGG is going to just sit back and jab Canelo's head off, you are an idiot.
The attributes that give Golovkin problems are what Canelo lacks. Above Average Stamina and Light Feet. Sure, Canelo has faster hands and can beat Golovkin to the punch BUT can he keep the grueling pace for 12 rounds. Canelo was getting tired hitting a zombie in Chavez who didn't really throw much against Canelo. Also, Canelo fights in spurts. You can't afford that against Golovkin.
He forces you to fight every second of every round. Its a grueling pace. Also, Golovkin has taken big shots from guys with more power than Canelo. He won't get gunshy when Canelo throws his counters. Also when Golovkin traps Canelo to the ropes, how will Canelo get away? he's not floyd in having amazing upper body movement and very good legs.
If Canelo had light feet and Very good stamina, sure...I could see him beating Golovkin but those two weaknesses of his are big.Last edited by TheSlickster; 06-22-2017, 04:07 PM.Comment

cant believe some of the comments im reading, and the change in opinion since there most recent fights. Do people not actually look further back than a fighters last fight before deciding whos going to win?
Or do you think canelo would have done a better job on jacobs, or that GGG would have struggled with chavez jr?
Cause the shift in opinion is bizarre. Jacobs is about twice the size of canelo. Style wise they are polar opposites. Look at the head to heads , GGG is considerably the bigger man against canelo. He was considerably smaller against jacobs.
Hes going to sit back against that jab all night long against canelo, the smaller man.
I keep getting told how much canelos improved, how hes getting better with each fight, pull the other one ffs, hes looking better cause his opposition is getting worse. shot welterweight cotto, glass chinned kirkland, glass chinned welter khan, bum liam smith and walking zombie chavez jr, is it really a shock hes looking good? Hes now a feared power puncher apparantly cause he knocked out two guys with no chins, two of the chinniest fighters in the sport.
He does not have the firepower to trade with golovkin, most of the better fighters canelos fought against he hasnt been able to put a dent in them. ANd these guys were smaller than golovkin.
Because hes beat that line up of clowns in the last few years hes now not the guy who most thought lost to lara, struggled against trout and lost every round to welterweight floyd mayweahter?
Golovkins still that same guy who demolished everyone pre jacobs at middle, the same guy who pretty much everyone on here was saying canelo was scared of and would get whooped by.
I tell you what, if canelo had that many problems with lara and trout how would he do against jacobs who is much much rangier?
Youre all going to get a shock when canelo gets bloodied and busted up with the jab. This is just another fight for golovkin, i said in the build up to the last fight that jacobs had a chance of pulling it off and he couldnt be overlooked, well canelo has no chance. Like **** its a 50/50 fight.
After what has been happening lately, I simply don't trust boxing bouts happening in Las Vegas anymore. The better boxer, or the more deserved boxer is not going to win (as they rightly should). Instead, the politically favored boxer will somehow be given the win over the superior boxer.
In reality, Canelo Alvarez has shown VERY little to suggest he is much, if AT ALL better than Kell Brook. Kell Brook was a very skilled opponent for GGG who possessed far superior abilities than Canelo Alvarez in certain areas such as footwork, overall movement and AT THE VERY LEAST rivalled Canelo Alvarez in punching accuracy and counter punching.
This ultimately comes down to whether Canelo Alvarez can hurt GGG. Considering he couldn't hurt many boxers that didn't have punch resistance anywhere near as good as GGG, I simply don't think Canelo Alvarez can hurt GGG any more than Kell Brook. If GGG was barely fazed by punches from the likes of Daniel Jacobs, David Lemieux and Curtis Stevens, why is there any reason to believe Canelo Alvarez is going to faze GGG when those other boxers are far more proven as power punchers at middleweight against heavier opposition?
In an uncontroversial fight, the most likely scenario is GGG walks through Canelo Alvarez and does something similar to Canelo as he did to Kell Brook. Canelo either has his nose broken, skull badly damaged or some other fight stopping damage.Comment

When has this IDIOT Ever been right on this forum. Anything he predicts pick the OPPOSITE! I got Canelo by Controversial Decision in a fight that doesn't provide the action that we're hoping for because Canelo will come out fighting smarter and box from the outside (AS HE SHOULD!), he will NOT go to WAR with GGG (which he shouldn't!) he will BOX and GGG fans will cry that Canelo Ran and GGG got RobbedComment
