Damn! You're right man. I'm 6'2" tall & when I bent over, my ***els and belly button were very close. And we all know how delicate those boys are. I brushed something off my pants once and had to pause to get over the excruciating pain. Ward may or may not have actually connected on Kovalev's nuts, but the argument can definitely be made that he hit him close enough to them to jack him up. A legitimate body shot is from the belly button UP, not DOWN.

That looks well low to me.
But you didn't answer my question .. how many times do you think a boxer is allowed to hit his opponent below the belt before a foul is called?Comment

Here's a man who gets it
All that matters is whether any part of Ward's glove is below the belt line in the final blow. Nothing else Tony Weeks factored in is relevant to the discussion.
Frankly we're all wasting our time. Because as we all know, any punch that can count as low at all is grounds for an automatic DQ. I'm sure the NSAC will realize this any day now and change the result.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 06-21-2017, 03:30 PM.Comment

Of course it would. You can see the white line of Kovalevs trunks behind the post, you can see where Wards punch is directed, line them up. Not Low.
You are claiming multiple low blows. You can only provide one. You are wrong.Comment

its like they suddenly forgot that whole shiiit started (and I mean ward backing up kovalev) AFTER ward rocked him with that right handHere's a man who gets it

even those two body shots.... yes body shots people.... that kova complained was low actually wasnt.... weeks pointed straight at his belt line at the final instructions and said "Here is good, below that no"......
so wtf are people complaining about?????Comment

As I recall, Ward landed a low blow before he landed that right. Kovalev complained and Weeks warned Ward to keep the shots up, but never gave Kovalev his 5 minutes. He was affected by that shot, which set him up for the right, further low blows and finally the stoppage.Comment

Yes, but Ward fanboys cannot let facts get in the way of Ward's victory. As I recall, Ward landed a low blow before he landed that right. So what's the point of this quibbling?
Are you saying a boxer has to land "multiple low blows" before a foul is called?
Is that what you believe?Comment
