We're making fun of people who are trying to stretch the meaning of the last sequence. Some are swearing up and down that they were intentional blows to the nuts, and are conveniently removing all context from the rest of the round when assessing Weeks' decision to wave the fight.
The story initially was that Ward low blowed repeatedly during the fight. Then the slow-mo gifs failed to provide much evidence for low blows prior to the last sequence, so the story has become to pretend that it is common for people to get immediate DQs for unintentional shots below the beltline and that the TKO was the result of only the last sequence.
but I digress as you clearly dont know what a low blow is and i move onto the stoppage? Are fights stopped at tyje first sign of trouble? Is that comman practice, especially in a world championship fight where the guy being stopped is winning and is not known to be stopped?

I haven't stated that the stoppage was a good call. Kovalev should have been given a rest instead.
But again, you are doing yourself no favors by pretending that the very end of the fight was 'the first sign of trouble'. I saw Kovalev bend over at the waist from clean punches, I saw him struggle to hold on to Ward, I saw him wobbly legged from a big punch upstairs, I saw him once turn around completely from Ward and Weeks had to stop the action and turn him around. He looked gassed, did not appear to be defending himself well and did not appear to be throwing that many punches back. There were multiple signs of trouble prior to the illegal shots.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 06-19-2017, 03:11 PM.
