It's safe to say, the Ward vs. GGG debates have OFFICIALLY died with Ward's win last night. No one in their right mind thinks GGG can beat Ward, or ever get to his level of success at this point.

Ward has literally never lost a fight, and in pretty much every single one of his fights, besides the first Kovalev fight, has looked in complete, and total control.

GGG has looked pretty shaky in a few of his top fights, and one can argue he lost to Jacobs. And I'm a GGG fan.

GGG is average against guys his own size so the answer is no. Ward is something special. What he did with Kova is remarkable. People are forgetting that not to long ago they were saying Ward would never move up and fight Kova just like what they are saying now about Anthony Joshua. Its insane until Ward makes it the norm like how he desmantled Kova. GGG no where near that. I mean the moment GGG stepped up against his own size he looked avarage and for some he actually lost.

Two different styles of fighter. If Golovkin beats Canelo though he will be thrust into the conversation no doubt. Head to Head it's a mismatch in my opinion and I've always said so. I think Golovkin know this as well.
