35 and he's just starting to fight good comp. Just not enough time. Had he started facing good fighters in his 20's like Ward did, then maybe. I'm not blaming Golovkin, just saying it didn't pan out. Only one or two fighters in a decade will have a career like Ward though, so there's no shame in not matching it.
Can GGG ever make it to Wards level?

Some things in this world just aren't possible, this is one thing g can never do. Ward was chasing greatness at age 25, jumped in a tournament of Champions and contenders, he took it, won, and hasn't looked back since. g had his chance and passed it up.Comment

I like this. It sums it up.35 and he's just starting to fight good comp. Just not enough time. Had he started facing good fighters in his 20's like Ward did, then maybe. All fighters don't have to be great, they don't have to at each other's levels.
I know what Larry is getting at, because of all the hate from GGG fans to Ward, he's pretty much ****ting on them and that's okay. But you are right, GGG will not be on Ward's level because he's too old and he doesn't have to be on Ward's level. He's not even at the level people make him out to be, let alone Ward's level.Comment
