Got my first dose of UFC last night...

UFC is awsome man !
It's nice to see choke out or someone possibly getting there arm blown out sometimes rather than a knock out.

Actually it is safer than boxing. If you have this month's Ring magazine(august 2006), they have an article on mma and a comparison of mma and boxing.

Explain to me how is it safer when you fighting barefisted? How is it safer that you need a referee that can handle the fighters? What does that tell you about the discipline of these fighters? How is it safe to hit someone straight up in the face with clean punches when they're on the ground? I've seen UFC and MMA, bothing of them are boring, MMA has some entertainment at times, both of them are way below the level of boxing though...

punches bareknucled when they land on the head doesn't damage brain cells as much as fists covered with gloves do. Many have died because of boxing (RIP fallen warriors), how many in UFC?
