    Top drawer. Top 10 p4p.

Someone already said it, he is one dimensional, but that is a hell of a dimension. You need either a granite chin or a very good defence with a good chin to walk him down.

I also think he is vulnerable to a big puncher with good ability.

Very good fighter though. He needs a big win or two to solidify his legacy, I hope he has the desire and discipline to pick himself up and get them.

Full 100% (stamina) Kovalev is an amazing fighter, extremely difficult to beat. Unfortunately after 4-5 rounds, he goes by 15% every single round.

In both fights, Kovalev was winning till the 5th round. If Ward has figured him out in the 1st fight he would pick up where they finished in the 1st, but I haven't seen that. I saw Sergey winning the early rounds.

But then he goes down and goes fast. Of course, credit to Ward for doing a good job of putting the pressure, but IMO Kovalev would gas regardless. Such a shame, as it's the fundamental thing that prevents him to be a great fighter.

Kov is still a great boxer, and big puncher. I wouldn't pick anyone else to beat him right now.

I have only seen him fight once with the 1st Ward fight . I dont have much to go on ,but that, training clips and some high litte clips ....how others talk of him ,ppl who say he is great? I personally dont see it .......

Having said that Ward doesnt scream out either for me and this guys talking Joshua ?

I guess 8 is fair based on 10 being best? Honestly the guy looked drunk before getting hit with that right hand to the head like he was lost ,his reaction time was bizarre .

Not sure about that. You need to stay competitive with Sergey for the first 4-5 rounds then he fades dramatically.

Not many survive those early rounds though.

I would like to see him against Badou Jack. I give Badu a very good chance actually.

He's one of the best fighters of this generation who imo already beat Ward last fight. Even if you think he lost to Ward in the first fight, Ward is pro ably the best fighter of this decade.

He's definitely been exposed a little in regards to his stamina, but how many guys can make it through 6 rounds with him without being knocked down or hurt? Not many...

Kovalev is a good boxer puncher. He's just not built to beat someone like Ward. Fighting Ward is physically draining and Kovalev doesn't have that kind of stamina. Ward is also not the kind of fighter that he can steamroll in a few rounds.

Kovalev is an excellent fighter. One of the best in the sport. He's so good despite the fact that he's basic he can compete with the most dynamic competition available. That's how naturally gifted he is.

Right now, he beats Beterbeiv with his jab. Kovalev's jab is so deceptive and sharp. Plus, Sergey has legs.
Gvo is intriguing but until I see more from him, I can't put him over Kovalev because, despite what happened last night, Sergey does have that monster power. No shame in losing to the P4P best fighter in the world.
