Same as Ike and Duncan, all fighters from Nigeria with the same talent level. 3 things Peter has going for him self is his age and his punch/chin. Other then those 3 things he has limited ability and needs a lot of work. Maybe a fight with Briggs or even Tua is exactly what he needs. That fight he took against Long was ridiculous even by his standards.

I don't think it's fair to make the comparison between Ibeabuchi and Peter...except for the fact that they are both Nigerian. Ike showed ability to adapt his strategy mid-fight, he showed patience, he could throw punches in combination behind the jab, and had general ring awareness.

He seemed to be a much more well schooled fighter than is Peter and by no means was he one dimensional.

It's why you see so many recurring Ibeabuchi threads pop up...the guy had a good punch but he also had a lot of talent in other areas.

I'm a huge HW fan, it's my favorite division, most of you already know this. I say Peter has a LONG way to go in this division. A fight with Briggs is exactly what he needs, if he KO's Briggs or beats him by a decision it puts him right back into a title fight, and the same goes with Briggs, especially after stopping his last 11. There is no reason why these 2 guys shouldn't fight each other so why the bull****? As long as they keep fighting "busy" fights it just prolongs things even further and people like Ray Austin will get title shots.

Definitely a fight I'd like to see as well. I don't think Briggs would last long in there with Peter...but maybe I'm over-valuing Peter's chin from the Wlad fight.

Hah...Ray Austin. Who you takin in that Brock/Ibragimov fight?

I seen Timor fight 3 times and once was live when I took the day off of work to go see him and I hate his fighting style, it's boring and it drew lots of boos from the crowd. I like Brock's style and he's not afraid to fight on the inside, Brock wins this fight by UD.

briggs is ripped at 275 that is ****en nuts. and the guy has skills that we all forget he has. Great jab not bad movment his defence is better he gets hit less. he moves his feet more. his hand speed is better than it was before. He is much more patient than he was. However this could all change if he is in a real fight agienst adversity. Is he mentaly strong enough now to deal with being behind or being hit hard. That was the problem with the old shannon briggs whatt truely does this incarnation have to offer. Hopefully at least two belts. Is he more skilled than klit no but not by much. is he stronger and faster than klit maybe is he more focused while fighting and stays to the game plan no. Klit frazzels easyer but briggs goes for broke and does not think when things get tough. head to head I go with klit by SD his punches are straighter and he is a little bit more mobile. He is not that more skilled than briggs but klit has won bigger fights and more of them. Like I said klit by SD and with Klit tasting canvas in the early rounds. scores 115-113 116-112 112-116. Thats just my opinion. I am a briggs fan to boot.

how peter throws one punch at a time. briggs would not be afraid of peter like klit was and would take it to peter. Briggs has good speed and as much power as wald. Briggs will out box peter easy or he may het an opeing and drop a five and dime combo and ko peter I do not see peter wining this fight at all. Klit was kocking down himself with dought in the peter fight than what peter was hitting him with.

Teddy Atlas almost took him on, i think teddy would have definitely improved peter's technique. give him some time and some more seasoning, i wouldn't write him off yet. think about Briggs, nobody thought he was coming back but he looks pretty good these days.
Teddy did not take peter on because he is a bumb mentally. Teddy knew he could not teach the guy how to be a fighter.
