He was fighting Tua until Tua pulled out, A fight with Peter was in the works, but they weren't going to pay Briggs the money Peters promoter promised

A Briggs vs Peter fight would be interesting. But I think Peter would win buy a mid fight KO.

he's staying busy but he's fighting guys that will do nothing to test or get him used to taking good heavyweight shots,,plus he's coming in at such a high weight it makes me wonder if he still lacks the same drive that hurt him earlier in his career. I was a huge briggs fan back when he was undefeated and thought he'd end up a solid champion but was hugely disappointed when he lost to darrol wilson and then came into fights ill prepared. just hard for me not to be critical of him

Smith is a step in the right direction and Briggs HAS been calling out peter and tua. Id like to see him against valuev, sultan, or lyukiovitch.

Duva is avoiding Briggs like the plague. He promised Briggs a fight and he promised a purse. Then Duva cancelled everything and started making **** up. I'm not sure that Peter can beat Briggs easily, in fact I'm not sure Peter can beat any real HW contender at this point.

peter can beat most of the heavys, but i also like briggs alot and think he can win a belt, i don't want to see peter fight briggs unless its for a world title. they are both knockout artists and id rather not see one of them get knocked off yet, id like to them to fight all the other guys out there first

I see where your coming from, but to me Peter is way over hyped. What I saw in the Wlad and Hawkins fight showed me that he is a one dimensional fighter that can not be groomed into anything else. Wlad was picking his punches out of the air and Hawkins used his feet to avoid his one punch bombs, all in all Peter is just another Nigerian HW that will flutter away and disappoint just like all the other Nigerian HW's before him.

don't be so sure man, i have about 8 of his fights, and the attributes he does have are a hell of a punch, and a hell of a chin, i think wlad would attest to that. he does have a new trainer now, jessie reid. before he was going on straight ability, but he is only 25, so i do think he can improve. he only had 20 or 25 amateur fights. Teddy Atlas almost took him on, i think teddy would have definitely improved peter's technique. give him some time and some more seasoning, i wouldn't write him off yet. think about Briggs, nobody thought he was coming back but he looks pretty good these days.

He has a fight coming up in August against TBA, wonder what Duva has in mind. Tua is looking for 1-2 last pay days before he bows out of the game, maybe Duva can hook that up.
