Also watch Kovalev's legs. He got punched so hard in the balls that his legs actually moved back slightly because of the force of the impact. No wonder he was sitting and stuttering in the corner, because he was paralyzed by the pain.

Referee robbed ward, kovalev and the fans.
I dont like ward but he deserves an unquestionable win, he worked his butt for it, performed well and delivered. Not 100%, but it looked like the fight was really going his way when it was stopped, but let's not stick to theories and what will be and what could've been, instead let's see it, let them fight.

Kovalev was also robbed of a comeback, yes it's likely he's tired and was hurt but we said the same to all the great comebacks that ever happened. not 100% but has a chance.

Fans from both sides now dealing with nonsense debates.
A clean win is acceptable even to the highest nhugger in the planet, one he cant debate about and the referee took that away.

          Good post.

I like Kov but can't feel too sorry for him after he promised to end Ward's career then quit when things got tough....

The whole card looked like "amateur night" for the refs. Disappointed by Tony Weeks handling of the fight, I feel the stoppage was a bit premature, and Draculavich looked completely lost and inept at performing his duty. It was kind of interesting how the Nevada State commissioner told him to cover his microphone while discussing what they were going to decide to do. What was there to hide??!!??!! Another black eye for the sport. The refs and judges should be drawn lottery style before each fight. That way no one knows,...or can be persuaded to cheat or be bought off before hand,.. who will be judging and refereeing each bout until the numbers are drawn from a fishbowl by the fighters representatives themselves after they enter the ring. It's simple,.. Three fight card uses four refs and 12 judges. The three remaining judges and one ref would then be dismissed of their duties after the final drawing. Honestly, how hard would that be. There is way to much BS/Shenanigans in the sport of boxing and last nights exhibition was just another reason why boxing continues to lose ground to other combat sports. The fans deserve better, and spending hard earned money for such crap is a slap in the face to all involved.

Ward is probably the most fouling fighter active.

Kovalev was on his way out. Weeks could've given him 5 minutes to recover and Ward would've still taken him out in the next round or so.

Only that last punch was low. The rest were legal right on the belt line.

Kovalev has himself to blame for not holding/fighting back. Although I do agree Weeks stopped it early.
