There it isThere is no standing 8 count in Nevada. The ropes weren't holding Kovalev up and he wasn't touching the canvas so Weeks couldn't call it a KD. He was defenseless with his hands at his waist bending over and couldn't protect himself. That was a textbook stoppage according to the rules
But the most telling this is Kovalev didn't protest the stoppage. He quit!
He stayed on the floor.
He quit.
He was about to do a Kell Brook had Weeks not intervened.

It was the same way he was bending over when he was protesting low blows earlier. He was getting beat up though that round.There is no standing 8 count in Nevada.
