This. Shots looked on the line. Kov's shorts were also a bit high.

how was he being outclassed when he was ahead on all scorecards

Two of the judges had Ward up for some reason.

So the "stoppage" doesn't really matter. The fix was already in. Boxing is done in my mind.

Everyone involved seemed terrible. Whoever they called to check the replay said the punches were before or on the bell, it was clearly quite a while after the bell. How can they watch a replay and not see that? everyone else knew it without a replay.

Yea, Ward clearly landed about six devastating lowblows throughout the fight, including at least two of the final three. No doubt about it.

Robbed by the judges and now robbed by the ref.

Yea they were low blows. As a kovalev fan i wasnt sure at first but the last replay showed it.

Skillwise Kovalev wasn't even in the same ballpark and was clearly looking for a way out of the fight. He called low blow on multiple occasions which got denied by the ref. Sergey was looking for free breathers without having to take a knee. He did indeed win 2-3 rounds based on jabs and activity but his gameplay (to double his punching output from fight 1) was absolutely unsustainable. No point for Ward going the same ****** speed that won't last 12. Ward beat the fight out of him and the stoppage was about right, perhaps a little early. But Kovalev was broken, so whatever. Him not taking the L was a pretty bad look honestly. He's a bully who's not used to getting beaten up, and frankly, he didn't take it very well, did he?

I'd also like a frank evaluation from you as to how you see the fight play out without the "low blows"? Did you feel like there two equally matched boxers facing each other in round 8? Would you be confident in picking Kovalev in a rematch?
