"One or two." Do you realize how biased you sound? The one that set up the right hand that actually hurt Kovalev was low. The only one we have a clear angle of during the finish afterwards was low, and the other two we only see from Kovalev's back also looked low. That means likely all 4 important "body" shots that led to and eventually stopped the fight were low, and at least two of them were for sure, between 2 and 4.

Not to mention, it only takes one and the ref is supposed to warn the fighters and give Kovalev five minutes. It's ridiculous man but I guess you're a Ward fan. Whatever man enjoy it, and enjoy every other victory that will come in the future, meaning every single fight. If you like connected fighters like Ward, you should be happy every day in boxing because you will win every single time. It is set up for them to win, so they will, even when they don't. Even without the stoppage, the two establishment Vegas judges were going to score it for Ward anyway, even though Kovalev should have been ahead in my opinion, just like the first fight.

Totally agree. After first low blow Ward should have been warned and Kovalev given minutes to recover, on next low blow Ward should have been taken a point and Kovalev given time to recover, poor refereeing and a great win by low blows, never seen that until now. Could be a first - winner by repeated low blows Andre Ward.

Has nothing to do with standing 8 count. If the blows were legitimate, then the ropes held him up and he should have gotten a 10 count, not an 8 count. But they were low blows so it should have been a point deducted from Ward, and five minutes to recover for Kovalev.

I am just going to state the facts.

What is it with African American referees and judges always helping African American boxers defeat non-African American boxers?

This was just ridiculous.

First, a clear low blow that sold-out Weeks let go, a couple of rounds before the final round. It was a clear low blow. It took the oxygen and strength out of Kovalev. He could never recover from that. So Weeks, instead of stopping the action and letting Kovalev recover, and maybe discounting a point from Ward, let the fight continue. THIS STARTED THE END.

Fast forward a couple of rounds. Ward catches Kovalev with a great right to the face, with all his body behind it. A legit shot. He stuns Kovalev but does not knock him down. Then, Ward goes after Kovalev, and throws IDK three, four or five straight blatant low blows, while Weeks deliberately covers the cameras and pretends not to see. After Kovalev gets evidently weakened by a flurry of low blows, Weeks suddenly stops the fight for no justifiable reason, instead of penalizing Ward or even disqualifying him for throwing a barrage of low blows . Weeks is a sold-out embarrassment.

This was totally ridiculous. And then, either naive or sold-out Kellerman says in public that he considers Ward the #1 P4P boxer today, after such blatant robbery, during his interview with Ward, where he pretended not to notice about all the low blows.

I have the highest respect for REAL African American boxing champions, like Ali, Foreman, Hagler, Leonard, Tyson (before the bitings), and many, many more real fighters, but this has gone beyond blatantly disgusting. The way referees helped Mayweather Jr. in the past and the way Weeks just ruined Kovalev's career today, is a total shame. Even with the very bad camera angles, it was pretty obvious that Ward "won" the fight, by deliberately connecting low blows, knowing that his accomplice Weeks would turn a blind eye on his cheating. Ward is a pathetic cheater, and he evidently is the one who chooses who will help him "win" his fights.

Didn't get away with anything way to many excuses give the man his credit

I give credit for the nice right hand, that was beautiful and I do think Ward was overall doing much better at that stage in the fight but Kovalev wasn't knocked out by legal blows and there's no dis*****g that fact with the replay. Ward would have most likely won anyways but he had fouled a lot during that fight, including a few other instances of low blows. Those last ones were low and the ref had a great view of it and should have been able to make the correct call and blew it. I'm calling BS just what it is, BS. The fans were robbed too, not just the fighters.
