he earned it because he was good, not because of his genius negotiating skills......he was good, won the super six(which was meh financially because of the injuries and pullouts) and then ken hershman brought him to HBO to milk that titty....then he was there for another sugar daddy In JZ trying to play at boxing because he has so much money, he might as well flush it down the toilet.......Ward needed no genius, he was just there.....his merit is being good at boxing.... the size of his purses is mainly down to some rich guys liking him for that.
Lower wights easy to market? there' no easier weight to market than HW......you just need to be entertaining, whihc boxers today are too afraid of being because the system of the sport (and sometimes the nature of the sport itself) punishes them for itLast edited by -Hyperion-; 06-15-2017, 08:46 PM.Comment

my info is that Roc and Main Events are doing a revenue split (one source said 50-50, the other source didnt know the split percentage) and then Main Events side gets split 75-25 Kovalevs way......OnePunch can you break it down for us
Assuming the fight does similar numbers to last time, Main Events and Kovalev should be splitting up somewhere between 4 and 5 million. Roc Nation on the other hand will probably lose a couple of million......
Likely scenario:
Ward: $6.5 million
Kov: $3 million
Main Events: $1 million
Roc Nation: minus $2 million
Edit: Revenue share deals are not all that uncommon. Golden Boy and Canelo have an 80-20 deal Canelo's way. The only real difference here (other than 5%) is that Golden boy, as the lead promoter, is in a position to provide guarantees to Canelo. Main Events is not.Last edited by OnePunch; 06-15-2017, 10:26 PM.Comment
