What does haymon have to do with anything? Chavez and Khan both haymon fighters and both agreed to contracts with golden boy for fights where they were paid far less on fight night then their min guarantee. Chavez tweeted the day the fight was signed that he inked to a 6m guarantee amount. But according to commission was only paid a 3m fight night check. If the fight flopped and golden boy took a loss he was still getting another 3m check. Why would kovalev agree to fight for free? lol Or agree to only be paid if the ppvs and live gate are a hit when the first fight wasn't? He's getting paid over 1m regardless if what the ppvs numbers look like dog crap.

Kathy sucks as a promoter but she is not screwing kovalev over she just telling the landlord can I pay you on the second because my paycheck don't come in until the 1st. If you do that without telling the landlord they would be upset but as long as you have that convo ahead of time and they agree who cares. Kovalev agreed to this and isn't complaining.

Kovalev needs to fire his whole team if he wins. They are not doing anything for him as I see it and pretty much along for the ride. Literally anyone can get him a deal like that, his dog could negotiate that sort of deal and all he would have to pay him in is dog treats rather than a hefty cut of money no one appears to be really earning except Kovalev.

What has Main Event done to promote this fight? If his manager is not working on that exit he should be out also because he would also be worthless because he is not serving Kovalev's interests well.

This fight basically has two shytty extremes going on. Two bad promoters one signs fighters to ridiculous contracts guaranteeing high purse amounts to where the promoter always loses money and will be out of business a year from now. The other is saying I will pay you after the fight because I ain't got it all right now. Both roc nation and main events will probably lose money on this fight. But both fighters will come out making every nickel they promised when they signed the contract for the fight.

I don't like this at all. This is BS. Kovalev's main job is to fight. His job isn't to sell tickets or sell PPV's. The reason you sign with a promoter is so they'll PROMOTE you. His pay shouldn't be based on what the promoter is hired to do. And his promoter isn't even the lead promoter. His pay is in the hands of what Roc Nation did to promote the fight.

Wow Haymon only got Flores 25k to fight Rigo in a title fight?!?!?! WTF!?!?! wow PBC has really fallen off. I guess thats why only showtime and the low budget bounce and fs1 shows are left

Ward and Cotto were just in the right place at the right time. Jay-z came in with big money and these guys were free agents and he overpaid to steal them away hoping that would attract other fighters to come. Years later they haven't signed another relevant fighter and are their way out of business.

They can't refuse to disclose it. This is what the fighters will get paid at the end of the night when the fight is over. We're talking about their guarantee which is what the NSAC holds in escrow until the fight is over.
