I don't see how people say Canelo will fight this fight in the center of the ring when he has shown that he tends to do quite the opposite even against much lesser opponents than Golovkin. There's a reason why Golovkin fights are always fought at his pace with him putting the opponent on the ropes in quite literally every single fight of his. Canelo doesn't have the stamina to be bobbing back and forth with constant upper body movement and throw combinations in the center of the ring for large portions of the fight. GGG's jab always pushes people backwards and this fight won't be any different.
Just a brothers honest opinion on GGG-Canelo

Good post guy.
I got GGG by decision or late ko. Ginger got tired beating on jr at a weight he didnt kill himself to make.Comment

Canelo isn't an inside fighter. Mid range. And canelo will be chasing ggg like lemieux and his head will be snapping back from ggg's jab.i agree canelo cant box from the outside like golovkin can, but he won't need to because he is gonna fight ggg at close quarters. where he will throw punches in bunches and golovkin won't have any room to throw power shots back. ggg cant fight on the inside. he needs space. this is why canelo wins the speed battle. canelo won't have to use his feet. this fight is gonna be fought in the center of the ring.Comment

Lemeieux thought the same thing and everytime he came in he got hit with the jab. Canelo will be a bobble head come sept 16 form ggg's jab.Alavarez was still coming up when he fought Floyd, he is a different fighter now. You're right on one thing, he won't have to chase GGG to make it a fight and entertain the fans.
DLH beat a fading Whitaker, lost to Tito because of his decision to run for the last four rounds.
Pac went into the Floyd fight with an injury, perhaps a different outcome if 100%, maybe, maybe not. Pac definitely got hurt more by Cotto than Floyd.
Regardless, Canelo/GGG is a refreshing break from all things Floyd/Manny. It will be a different fight and likely a way more entertaining fight. This fight will be good for boxing, the former wasn't.Comment

I agree with the prediction. GGG's jab and work rate will be too much for Canelo but it should be a lot of fun while it lasts. And yes. I'm just glad it's happening.Okay, let's get one thing out of the way. Why can't all of us (both Team Canelo & Team GGG) stop targeting each other and just appreciate the fact that this fight is ACTUALLY happening this year? I mean, it's been a few years since MAYPAC and we all remember how that went down. Boxing fans had a bitter taste in their mouths for a while and pay per view took a major hit, as well.
But now with AJ-Klitschko, Ward-Kovalev 2, Broner-Garcia & so on, boxing is having a fabulous upswing!! Let's take a moment to appreciate how boxing has kicked MMAs butt this year
Onto my HONEST opinion on canelo-ggg: Let's all agree that both canelo AND ggg have never faced a step up in opposition the way they will this September (Bar mayweather ofc). Canelo has never faced a fully fledged powerful middleweight like Golovkin. His only fight at 160 was against a past his prime Cotto.
On the other hand, Golovkin has never faced someone as skilled as Canelo Alvarez in terms of experience, and the level of opposition he has faced. He fought Floyd as a young kid and has come a long way since.
However, I strongly do believe that once Canelo tastes the power of GGG (allegedly the same power as that of a light heavyweight), we might see him shell up a little bit. GGGs jabs might be key in keeping him at bay. If you haven't seen Golovkin-Jacobs, then watch it. And rewatch it again until you realise how efficient golovkins Jab was against him.
Also, STYLES MAKE FIGHTS. So we can't judge any of them based on their previous performances. Jacobs is not Chavez. Enough said.
Canelo fans have to realise that since Canelo is more of a speedy fighter, he invests a lot of energy and stamina into those flashy combinations, which requires him to take rests between rounds. This can be his Kryptonite as ggg fights at an insanely high pace and pressures you till he finds the right moment to let those bombs go.
My official prediction: GGG by TKO in either 10, 11 or 12.
I pick a late round since Canelo is a proud Mexican fighter and he won't go down without a heck of a fight. Granted, he's gonna win some rounds but GGGs superior power and stamina will get him the W.
Canelo fans, I expect you to come up with a deep and valid argument..which might even change my perspective on some things.
Also if you don't appreciate gggs fighting style - pressuringand beating the manhood out of his opponents - then your just a plain hater my friend.
The educated ggg fans also realise the threat that Canelo brings forward.Comment

For the most part Canelo will have to **** with Golovkin. He won't be able to wage this fight "correctly." He doesn't have the agility or the quickness of lower body to do anything but shoot it out with GGG guns blazing. Hope he understands that. I know Oscar does. They could make this ring any size. He won't be able to use it.Comment
