I firmly believe that..... " the overwhelming majority of (casual) boxing fans are neither reasonable nor rational. Bye. "
I would say 60-70%
" the overwhelming majority of boxing fans ", blamed Mayweather when PACQUIAO publicly refused random blood tests
" the overwhelming majority of boxing fans ", were calling Canelo a middleweight..... immediately prior to him winning the WBO JMW title, at 154
" the overwhelming majority of boxing fans " blamed Canelo when Mr "anyone from 154-168" totally refused to negotiate on weight..... and then the very same "majority" also blamed Canelo when BBB wanted more money
I never imagined that I could witness such collective ******ity during my lifetime

Besides, the point I was making (if you'd been following the argument) was relating specifically to reasonable and rational scoring of fights , not the various **** you're bringing up here.

You see a few guys on here posting stuff, even if they're quite prolific and you see it as a representing boxing fans as a whole. There really ain't that many of them except in your fevered imagination, man. The point I was arguing - that is that Kovalev vs Ward was a close fight actually is almost universally agreed.

bullshht, it is the exact same posters LMAO
the same dumb cvnts who cried robbery, after a close fight..... are the same clowns who ran around for a year saying that Canelo was a middleweight, when he clearly wasn't
and their motive for both of those things is identical

The only one more surprised than me that the judges gave him the decision, was Ward. I have to admit even though the decision was grossly unfair, that look of surprise on Ward's face when he got the decision was absolutely priceless. I remember laughing because he was more surprised than I was.

Attitude polarization

Attitude polarization, also known as belief polarization and polarization effect, is a phenomenon in which a disagreement becomes more extreme as the different parties consider evidence on the issue. It is one of the effects of confirmation bias: the tendency of people to search for and interpret evidence selectively, to reinforce their current beliefs or attitudes.[8] When people encounter ambiguous evidence, this bias can potentially result in each of them interpreting it as in support of their existing attitudes, widening rather than narrowing the disagreement between them.[9]
The effect is observed with issues that activate emotions, such as political "hot button" issues.[10] For most issues, new evidence does not produce a polarization effect.[11] For those issues where polarization is found, mere thinking about the issue, without contemplating new evidence, produces the effect.[11] Social comparison processes have also been invoked as an explanation for the effect, which is increased by settings in which people repeat and validate each other's statements.[12] This apparent tendency is of interest not only to psychologists, but also to sociologists[13] and philosophers.[14]

I would agree that there is an element of truth in your post, if you were happy to agree that there is more than a small element of truth in mine
it is obvious, and I could just name them
or, we can agree to disagree
but, fair call ^^
