It's called "deductive reasoning." It's called LOGIC.

    Anything else?
Oh ffs man. I don't even know why I'm bothering.

Alright then, what's your contention here? Let's just spell it out. You're saying that due specifically to the overwhelming preponderance of bodyshots scored by Ward in 7 rounds or more there is no possible way that a rational and reasonable person could score the fight for Kovalev. Is that a reasonable description of your position? I just want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding you.

      That is correct, sir.

If Ward clearly wins this fight, it will be highly, highly impressive.

Yeah, he pulls a lot of BS in the ring, but then that's Kovs job to make him FKing Stop! If he can't, then Wards the better man period. He got a BS gift decision in the first fight, but here he is again, to try to prove it wasn't. That's pretty cool in my book.

Youtube fight analyses are great but they don't mean a hill of beans in the real world. If they post a stat that says TOTAL punches, I'm taking it to mean body punches and all. You can add or subtract all the punches from those stats you want to but in the end, it's the fight night, COMPUBOX stats that will be recorded.

Ward must realize NOBODY thought he won. No proof anybody thought he won.
I'm suyre many said ward won though. But they are people who wanted ward to win.

Ok then (and bearing in mind that I'm not trying to prove that Kovalev won here, merely to prove that your hypothesis is faulty) In order to demonstrate that you need to firstly prove that Ward did land a sufficiently greater number of punches of any kind in 7 rounds or more to make it impossible for a reasonably minded person to score any of those rounds to Kovalev.

I provided the best figures I have for the punch stats earlier but I will add it again.

You can contest these figures if you like, of course (the chap who runs Boxstat posts on here from time to time though I ain't heard from him in a while) but it'd be useful if you provided some alternative figures of your own if we want to progress this **** at all.

So my next question has to be: In which 7 rounds (or more) do you believe that Ward scored such an overwhelming preponderance of shots (to the body or otherwise) that no reasonable person could give that round to Kovalev? This ain't the same as asking which rounds you though Ward won.

I am of course assuming that unless demonstrably proven otherwise each punch landed is roughly equal to each other punch landed. You can feel free of course to contend that Wards bodyshots were so much more damaging than Kovalevs landed punches that they should count double or even triple if you like, but then we start to veer into the realm of the subjective (thus ruining any claim that yours is the only reasonable viewpoint) . Would you like to make that part of your argument?

Surprised to hear a veteran like yourself give an credence to Compubox..

You're using your imagination far too much. Kovalev didn't land enough punches to even go there, damaging or otherwise.

As I said I have no interest in making some Cazlzaghe/Hopkins style breakdown study for Youtube over this. I feel far too confident about the facts in this situation. Frankly, I don't think we'd even be discussing this if you took the time to investigate. You seem like a bright guy.
