I don't know that they are the worst of enemies anymore. I know that Main Events has eliminated the possibility of Kov/Stevenson and Kov/Bieterbiev being made.

There is a much better chance that the ward/stevenson or ward/bieterbiev fights get made. I think that is good for the division and the sport.

The sport would also benefit from a known commodity like Kov moving to crusier where there is very little light being shined.

HBO looks to be investing in the division and I could see some really good fights being made since they wouldn't be too expensive.

I don't know.. Ward stepped up and fought Kov so I don't think he'd shy away from Bieterbiev. Maybe SHO gives him a 2 fight deal for Stevenson and Bietebiev or Alvarez, since I doubt Stevenson would fight alvarez or bieterbiev.

On saturday night we have the chance to rid the sport once and for all of one of the fighters who brings much negativity into boxing, with his foul play, diva like attitude and cherry picking (kovalev is his only legitimate opponent in many years).

He also repeatedly tried (unsuccesfully) to sue a man dying from liver cancer and ward recently tried to split up a trainers strong bond with his fighter.

In order for boxing to flourish we need exciting fighters at the head of the sport. People who provide action and entertainment and act as ambassadors. Not people who do there best to suck any enjoyment from the sport.

Is ward really the fighter you want people to associate with boxing? Or someone like sergey kovalev?

1) professional boxing is called prizefighting for a reason...you fight for money dummie..thats the prize and any one with a brain will make sure those $$$ make sense

2)cherrypicker? The dude will be fighting Kovalev twice in a row.....Brand was a tune up, Barrera is a top ten lightheavyweight.....Smith was his first fight in a year and a half.....Rodriguez was a top ten contender at 168 when they fought and prior to fighting Edwin, he beat Froch, Bika and Abraham back to back
