On saturday night we have the chance to rid the sport once and for all of one of the fighters who brings much negativity into boxing, with his foul play, diva like attitude and cherry picking (kovalev is his only legitimate opponent in many years).

He also repeatedly tried (unsuccesfully) to sue a man dying from liver cancer and ward recently tried to split up a trainers strong bond with his fighter.

In order for boxing to flourish we need exciting fighters at the head of the sport. People who provide action and entertainment and act as ambassadors. Not people who do there best to suck any enjoyment from the sport.

Is ward really the fighter you want people to associate with boxing? Or someone like sergey kovalev?

Kov going up gives us a number of big fights among russians and eastern euros at crusier which would be interesting.

Wait, how is it a victory for boxing? Isn't he a fighter fans like yourself have said isn't a draw and has no fans? So he can't be hurting boxing at all if nobody watches him. If you don't like his style then ok, but a Kovalev win is just a Kovalev win. Boxing isn't anymore well off with his win as opposed to Ward's
