    • Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor has NOT been requested for August 26

Neither Floyd Mayweather nor Conor McGregor have a Nevada boxing licence

YESTERDAY, Boxing News revealed that Floyd Mayweather had the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on hold for August 26, sparking speculation that the announcement of a fight with Conor McGregor was imminent.

However, we have obtained new information which apparently torpedoes those rumours – neither Mayweather nor McGregor have been granted a boxing licence by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

McGregor has applied for a licence, but has not yet given over the relevant documentation, while Mayweather – who retired in 2015 – is yet to even apply for a new one.

“We have not received all the documents for McGregor, Mayweather has not applied for his licence, thus at this time there is no request for the fight,” NSAC Executive Director Bob Bennett told Boxing News.

While Bennett could not be drawn on the August 26 boxing event on the NSAC calendar, it is being reported that Mayweather has withdrawn his original request for that date at the MGM Grand.

McGregor, who would be making his professional boxing debut against Mayweather, recently teased some “big” news while Floyd has been sparring southpaws in his Las Vegas gym, supposedly in preparation for port-sider McGregor.

The Irishman claims his side of the deal – which will be for an extraordinary amount of money – is signed, while Mayweather is yet to confirm whether he has put pen to paper or not.

While neither man is licenced in Nevada, it would be relatively easy for both to get licences and Bennett has previously told us he would be glad to sanction the fight in Vegas. The August 26 date sits three weeks before Gennady Golovkin’s mouth-watering clash with Canelo Alvarez at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

It's actually quite disgusting and he will now go down as a disgrace to the SPORT instead of TBE... There is so many better opponents, at least for this one take a damn chance you coward!!! I wouldn't even tune in if it was free...

Plus, Floyd seems like the kinda guy who'd be mad you took his date and try to fohk ya.

The general population in America is as dumb as a rock, so it will sell.

If the mainstream media were to hype up that it's cool to jump off of a bridge, you would see crowds of people waiting in line to jump at each bridge you pass everyday.

Not to mention that in MMA they don't have idle time during rounds, they constantly have to go at it or the ref talks schit to the fighters. Anyhow Money May will dismantle Mystic Mac the entire time. Conor might gas from all the missed shots. I'll be interested to see it, on YouTube, or showtime a week later.
Not used to it considering most of his fights didn't even last 2 rounds and the one time he fought all five rounds he was a bloody mess and tired out of his mind.

So why are you saying that the ringside seats for the Canelo VS Triple g fight won't sell for $5,000 each?? Answer me that... I'll be waiting for a legit response.
Mayweather-Canelo ringsides were face value of $2000 a piece. That was the most expensive ticket you could get for that fight. We both know Mayweather is a much bigger draw than GGG is.

The lone exception to this type of pricing was Mayweather-Pac and you should know (not that I'd expect you to) that Canelo and GGG are no Mayweather and Pac.

So I'll ask you AGAIN, what big fights have you been to and bought tickets for?

Yeah those ringsides actually SOLD though for $39K a piece. Face value is irrelevant.

Listen man, just cause those tickets have those face value price tags don't mean that's what they go for.
Let me tell you this and you can ask anyone who's really been to live Boxing fights and they will confirm this.
Unless you know someone on the inside that's involved with the promotion of the fight and/or knows the fighters themselves we the general public NEVER have a shot at buying those tickets at face value on ANY major Mayweather fight, Canelo fight, Pacquiao fight, ect....
If your talking about going to a small boxing event then yes you can buy them at face value at the box office or thru the box office website.
But tickets for a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, Canelo vs Chavez fight, Canelo vs Triple G fight, ect, those tickets are in such high demand that we the general public don't have a chance at buying those fight tickets at face value. The majority of reselleres like Stubhub, Ticketmaster, Vivid, seats, ect, they snatch those tixs up before the tixs even go on sale to the public and they resell them for 3-4 times or more of their face value. So people like me end up paying almost $800 for a $200 ticket. That's how much I paid to go see the Canelo vs Chavez fight last month. And I was on the Golden Boy website, Ticketmaster, and Stubhub a few months ago on the same minute they went on sale cause I was trying to buy good seats for the fight..
So believe me, I don't give a **** what the face value of them tickets say. The front row seats for the Canelo vs Triple G fight will go for about 20 grand and people will buy them. That's what happens when your a superstar like Canelo and Mayweather. People will pay crazy money to go see you fight.
You should read all the comments on this post and you'll see people will confirm what I'm saying. So quit hating man, I keep making you look ****** on here.

                    • Umm.. From what i have read and heard he has had mgm reserved for at least a couple months. So this isnt new news and not actually proof of anything about may-mcgregor. For some reason this and other sites have come out with it around same time. Which usually means somebodys trying to get the talk started up again and have used their contacts at different sites in order to do so. Still a non story to me.
