Canelo-GGG is a great fight, but it's not THAT big. You have one guy that draws pretty well in Canelo, but GGG hasn't proven to be nearly as big of a draw. If they price this thing at $5000 at the top end and $1000 at the low end they will struggle to fill the place.

This is not Floyd-Pac. To make my point even further it's not Floyd-McGregor. Floyd-McGregor has two guys that pull in 1 million + PPV buys on a regular basis which means they could expect more than 2 million PPV buys for this for sure, don't forget they are going to be drawing from the biggest stars from two different sports.

Canelo-GGG has one draw in Canelo, with GGG not so much.
Bro, I'm tellin you there's sellers already selling packages with tickets about $13,000 USD each one at floor level.

I remember reading spanish newspapers saying there were tickets selling at $15,000 USD and I'm almost sure they were sold, the fight with Chavez was a sold out event.

Don't underestimate the power of people who have tons of money, they will pay the money because that quantity is like change in their pockets.

They should be criticized for not fighting, not for fighting. This is what they get paid to do, so they should go ahead and make this money. If we were talking about a regular pay day, then no, they shouldn't do it, but this will not be no regular payday for neither fighter. Also, people are calling others ****** for buying for the fight. Well if they can afford it and want to watch a "sparring session", "exhibition" or "McGregor make history with a lucky punch", then they should. I doubt that I pay for it, but if I do, it'll be because I'm intrigued and want to see what happens and how it happens in real time and not hear about it later. I think it's a smart business move by both fighters. I don't know anything about the UFC, but I can see Mayweather and McGregor doing some other business together. I think Mayweather Promotions is looking to put some UFC fighters under his promotional banner so this may paved the way for this to happen. I doubt McGregor joins TMT unless it's written in the contract that he has to join if he loses. I guess I'm being optimistic that this fight will help both boxing and the UFC, bringing fight fans for both sports together. I know for me, I'm getting a little interested in the MMA sport because of this potential fight, so we'll see.
      Good post. Green K.

Every Mayweather fight I ordered was to see his ass whooped. Everytime Floyd has a man in front of him that has a good chance of beating his ass he sells High PPV numbers.. now look at how poorly the sales were for Berto, nobody thought he had a chance of winning that's why. Hardcore boxing fans know that McGregor has no chance to beat Floyd so they will not purchase,, the casuals and MMA boys will be all over it.

Ringside tickets are going for up to $25K at the moment. Cheapest tickets are over $1200.00.

This will take ppv away from canelo-ggg. By going first, Floyd gets that anxious casual that can only afford one of the fights.

I have and believe me, front row seats to the Canelo VS Triple g will easily sell for more than 5 grand.
I've never paid that much for a seat but I know they go for that much cause I've been too plenty of live Boxing fights and I'm always looking for the best available seats as soon as the tickets go on sale so I know what they sell for.
So quit hating on Canelo and enjoy a great fight in September.
