I'm more of a purist. Like I say, mismatches are often money spinners. But theres no world where I wouldn't criticise an elite world champ taking on a guy who's never boxed. Mcgregor fans are the ones who make this a money spinner, and they're just morons. Still a bad fight that couldnt be sanctioned without corrupt officials not doing their job, which is to protect fighters. Mcgregor will get hurt, he's experience in MMA doesn't count one bit.

Hope the UFC fans don't buy into the BS and buy this so Mayweather can show again his true star power and stop leaching off of other fighter's fan bases..

The biggest ppv's have floyd name in them.

      Not these other fighters.

Why hasn't canelo done 2 million besides the floyd fight?

Did Chavez fight a guy in he'd pro debut 40 fights in? Who was this? If this is true he deserves alot of stick for it. Elite world champion against man who's never boxed. Disgrace. Doesnt matter if the debutants fans are morons willing to pay money. Still a disgrace, and everyone involved is shamed . Floyd has come back from longer layoffs, he'd never lost, and it's nowhere near a long retirement. He's in shape, sparring and shut out a good fighter not long ago. I know people admire the cash grab. But to admire the sport, and unless all mismatches are now to be admired, this one is bad stuff.

It's easy to criticize this fight, but to criticize McGregor and Mayweather for doing something that will make them possibly $100,000,000...... They should be criticized for not fighting, not for fighting. This is what they get paid to do, so they should go ahead and make this money. If we were talking about a regular pay day, then no, they shouldn't do it, but this will not be no regular payday for neither fighter. Also, people are calling others ****** for buying for the fight. Well if they can afford it and want to watch a "sparring session", "exhibition" or "McGregor make history with a lucky punch", then they should. I doubt that I pay for it, but if I do, it'll be because I'm intrigued and want to see what happens and how it happens in real time and not hear about it later. I think it's a smart business move by both fighters. I don't know anything about the UFC, but I can see Mayweather and McGregor doing some other business together. I think Mayweather Promotions is looking to put some UFC fighters under his promotional banner so this may paved the way for this to happen. I doubt McGregor joins TMT unless it's written in the contract that he has to join if he loses. I guess I'm being optimistic that this fight will help both boxing and the UFC, bringing fight fans for both sports together. I know for me, I'm getting a little interested in the MMA sport because of this potential fight, so we'll see.

How many bought the Berto fight? Your logic suggests the fight fight should have sold atleast 2 or 3 million.
