No way in hell do they do it then. Cotto will do at leat 400k on free HBO. And you know HBO may just f with Mayweather and do a free preview weekend just for the hell of it.

I think you're overestimating people's interest in Cotto vs Kamegai.

Whether or not May-Conor lands on 8/26, I won't buy it, maybe not even stream it. But I won't even care of Cotto-Kamegai even if it was the sole fight that day. Many people will probably be like me too, they just won't care about Cotto's fight. I like Cotto but this is not a fight for May to be alarmed about.

i'm hoping that it's a Berto/Mayweather all over again.. Where the casuals KNEW he was just robbing the fans yet again by claiming retirement. Real boxing fans knew he was going to come back, just didn't know was to try yet another cash grab and run deal. Hell no he won't come up with something to make it interesting!!! We are talking the supposed best fighter ever against a guy who has never even fought 1 amateur boxing fight... If Floyd had already broke the record of 50-0 then yeah, I might watch. But since this is him taking the easiest possible route to 50-0 I cannot support this at all!!! It's actually quite disgusting and he will now go down as a disgrace to the SPORT instead of TBE... There is so many better opponents, at least for this one take a damn chance you coward!!! Seems very short notice but i guess it explains why Floyd is back in training already if the fight is just over 2 months away.

Maybe UFC said the only time Conor can fight is within the next few months. I'm sure they might want him back on their own event at some point by the end of the year..

This event is going to be HUGE. So many people on social media think Conor McGregor actually beats Floyd. Ridiculous. Anyway, i don't blame them for making the fight and taking the money but nobody should take it seriously as a boxing match, even if it officially goes on Floyd's record, i won't be counting it. As an exhibition, cool. Nobody is being forced to buy it.

Anyone that knows anything knows the Irish guy has 0 stamina. Nick Diaz gave the guy a boxing lesson come on. For anyone that thinks that one of the greatest fighters boxing has seen and that barley gasses for air during fights is gonna have issues with a guy that wont go past 4 rounds without gassing, is playing there self.
