I gotta give Kovalev the benefit of the doubt, that if he loses this one I don't think he'll have the gall to make any more excuses.

Unfortunately we'll still have to listen to his boyfriend MDpopescu, stand in and make the excuses for him.

I believe that Kovalev was over-trained, he look empty after 6 rounds! But also? Andre Ward was unable to do any roadwork for his training camp! (Which explains to me why, i thought he look static and out of condition! neither fighter in my opinion was 100%, fights are 90% won in training camp! Train smart & hard, to make the execution on fight night easy!)....

I don't really think Kovalev has to adjust technically, he was fighting the same kind of fight up against Hopkins! And that's the style of fight you need to fight against Ward! (I don't think Ward likes fighters who can ram home a hard fast Jab! Kovalev's adjustments that need to be made are all within his training camp!)...

Ward on the other hand, needs to adjust physically and technically! (From a pure boxing perspective this fight is very interesting! Because both guys have high ring IQs).

U couldn't put together a sound argument if u had Johnny Cochran advising u.

Now everyone but u and a few of Kovalev's other boyfriends on here saw clearly that every time Ward weaved his way to the inside to Dig in them guts, Kovalev would head lock Ward with the quickness.

It seemed like the rounds Kovalev won were easy to score because it was clear Ward was on his back foot and retreating.
In the later rounds neither fighter was clearly dominant and those rounds were close.
It didn't look like Ward ever hurt Kovalev or even had him on his back foot. As for Ward's body work being effective, punch stats had Kovalev throwing more punches than Ward in each of the final 3 rounds and landing more in the 10th and 12th.
I'd say Xmas came early for Andre.

I had a conditioning coach and he was scared to say something to me. I don't know why. He thought if he said to me I would dispute his comment or not pay him money. He is crazy. I was confused myself.
