Kovalev clearly gassed out in the second half of the fight, but Ward will be coming in better too and with more knowledge of Kovalev with a stronger game plan. Damn I am so excited for this fight.Comment

I'm not sure he can get the KO. Other than the flash knock down, he never had Ward in trouble while fresh. Ward will punch Kovalevs left arm to tire out the range finding jab. Without the big right landing...not sure he can get a KO. This is boxing though. Anything can happen. Ward could win by KO.Comment

This is a point many fail to see when they proclaim that Ward wrestled Kovalev the entire fight. In my view it was a combination of body work, working to clinch and get out of clinches, and having to fight laterally and backwards more than he is used to.Comment

The ones polled after the fight as reported on here and elsewhere.
All of which is besides the point, as it was you that was asserting that only forum polls here had Kovalev ahead, which is pretty clearly not the case. Heck, even Kellerman had it for Kovalev, which is impressive given how much time he and Lampley spend kissing Ward's ass.Comment

Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but if Ward wins again, Kov, his team, and the Ward-haters will have plenty of excuses. The reason Kov ran out of gas had nothing to do with overtraining and a lot to do with getting hit with power shots to the body over and over again. Kov gets beat to the body that bad again, and he will again be "gassed" before the halfway point.Comment
