BJS didn't want to avoid AK, and he'll be very disappointed at what happened.

He was looking forward to showing off his boxing skills against a powerful, but short, crude, and clumsy opponant who was absolutely made for him.

I'm pretty sure the tiny ring for AK vs Langford was deliberately chosen by dodgy Frank to make sure AK got a spectacular KO win over Tommy to set up his match with BJS.

Trust me, Warren would have given BJS a maximum sized ring and AK wouldn't have gotten anywhere near him!

I didn't say anything about Saunders or Wilder wanting to deliberately avoid their mandatories.

Thus why I mentioned I don't know who has been luckier to have avoided their mandatories. Not because either guy is scared of fighting their mandatories.

Both guys have had issues come up with their mandatories. Wilder had Povetkin drop out due to PED use. Then when Stiverne and Povetkin were going to fight to determine the mandatory same thing happened, Povetkin busted for PED use. So Wilder fought Arreola and Washington due to those events. Plus after the Arreola fight Wilder injured his bicep and hand, which required surgery.

All these events led to avoiding his mandatory.

Now Saunders who was injured most of last year, fought Akavov in December and was ready to fight his mandatory Khurtsidze in July. But Khurtsidze got arrested and busted for Russian mafia ties. It's not Saunders fault and I'm not saying that.

I'm just drawing parallels to the situations in which both guys managed to avoid their mandatories due to unforeseen events.

That's where the, I don't know who is luckier at avoiding their mandatories Wilder or Saunders phrase came from.

I too had Saunders as the favorite to beat Khurtsidze in a UD. As long as Saunders showed up in shape and not in the shape he was in when he fought Akavov. But yeah, I had Saunders winning over Khurtsidze if that fight went through on July 8th. My post had nothing to do with anyone avoiding fighters because they were afraid or something.

What I mean is ... if you want to fight your mando, then it's not lucky for you if the fight falls through.

I know Wilder wanted to fight Povetkin and Saunders wanted to fight Khurtsidze.

Bad luck since they wanted to fight them.

Good luck in which they get to choose who they want to fight in a voluntary defense.

I believe they both will get what they want now soon enough.

Big fights and big paydays and that will be their best luck.

That would be a great card..I'm pulling for Lemieux because he's a fellow Canadian but Jacobs is a dangerous fighter.

Lemieux is Saunders' mandatory. I don't see Saunders or Lemieux jumping at the chance to fight Jacobs.
