I agree with Mcguigan that Brook is one tough customer, but at the end of the day he chose to not fight on when other Fighters have fought with broken hands, totally swollen shut eyes, gigantic hematomas, and broken noses until the last bell rings. He was looking at his corner to stop the fight and once they didn't do that he bowed down and took a knee.

He did quit, no matter how you try to dice it or look at it. You can say whatever you want to look good or whatever but he didn't want no more and when the ref/his corner didn't do the towel thing he did it himself by taking and knee till he was counted out.

So everyone that gets KD and doesnt get up is a quitter too. They are not able to continue, the same way Brook was not able to continue.

Barry is spot on and it's pretty obvious some of the buffoons on here have never tasted the leather and see our sport as a Rocky film.

I think what McGuigan is trying to say that Brook Could not effectively or safely continue nor should he have attempted to. We only saw some swelling, there was no brutal gash or tennis ball sized swelling to tell the viewer was bad. We couldn't see the fractured bone nor could we see through his distorted vision. It's easy and knee jerk to criticize him. The man didn't shy away from competing against the best, I don't think it's in his fiber to just give up.

He's right, this forum is full of morons, everytime a fighter loses against another good fighter, or has a close fight you see these low life morons with the same comments "exposed, bum, quitter"
