People hate seeing an Irishman on top. It comes down to that. It's crazy when you think about it,in this day and age,2016 or 2017,whatever the hell the year is that this stuff still goes on.

I support wlad but never liked his clinching. Plus he also got knockouts. I wish he would try to ditch the excessive clinching like he did against AJ.

Wlad's fights when he was younger (Andre Ward's age) were entertaining.

Ward has ALWAYS held, clinched, clamped a lot.

Wladimir has only done so after the age of 36 or so.

And Ward is much dirtier in multiple ways. And he's feather-fisted, we don't see exciting KOs from him.

I never enjoyed a Wlad fight EVER, until his last one. I used to actively avoid his fights! The Povetkin fight could have earned him the title for the most boring boxer ever, same against Fury. I was happily surprised, however. Wlad looked skillful and great vs Joshua, far from boring.

I also felt the same way about Ward for a long while, but he turned me into a fan with his fight against Kovalev. To come back from that early KD adversity and to make that fight so close was amazing.

Two good fighters when they come to fight.
