ali hit a perfect punch, on the perfect spot, that his opponent didn't see coming, while his opponent was lunging forward and completely off balance.
there's no doubt the knockdown was legitimate.
is it possible liston was telling the truth about waiting for walcott to begin his count? sure. it's possible. so if you want to question the legitimacy of the knockout for that reason, be my guest.
but a dive? no.Comment

Yea keep believing that , thats why it called the phantom punch and not the perfect Koali hit a perfect punch, on the perfect spot, that his opponent didn't see coming, while his opponent was lunging forward and completely off balance.
there's no doubt the knockdown was legitimate.

it's called the phantom punch because it was so fast, ringside observers didn't see it.
the video makes it clear that it was no phantom punch. i assume you have eyes? i assume you have youtube? if you still believe it was a phantom punch, there's something wrong with you.Comment

Man I think I found gold with these TOP 10.. Who ever put this together is my hero!
Kermit Cintrons Dive out side the ring was pretty bad as he just dove out of the ring.
But the guy at 5:19 kills me with the extra over reaction.
Thanks OP for this because I would have never found these videos...Comment

Look up the definition of phantom. I know inner city schools don't graduate the sharpest mindsit's called the phantom punch because it was so fast, ringside observers didn't see it.

There's one amateur video of a heavyweight weight between 2 club fighters in a lowkey venue and the bigger guy threw an uppercut and the opponent threw himself backwards, even lifting up his feet in the air dramatically. The only problem was that there was a noticeable gap between the punch and the other guy and everyone saw it and boo'd. Does this ring a bell for anyone?Comment
