He wasn't getting any Ko's above 140 anyway, which adds to my point. If he fights c level guys, you can't sell PPV's which is what is happening now. your opinion assumes his star power isn't hurt by a loss when the evidence we have says the complete opposite.

His star power was in large part because HBO was marketing him as the guy who could beat Floyd and give him his toughest test. If he loses in 09, he can't use that to sell fights from 09-15.

pac vs clottey 2010 = 700k
pac vs marg 2010 = 1 mil

pretty decent #'s for fighting guys that arent a level.

I am a huge pacquiao fan and love him with all my heart, but he lost badly to Floyd. I'll admit that.


I'll also admit Manny ducked drug testing. I didn't want to believe it at first until roach publicly admitted 2009 failed negotiations were there fault.

I'll also admit Manny wasn't hurt vs floyd.

And that Manny attempted to abuse toradol. I'll admit that. Reason being is the same doctor who said Manny NEEDED toradol, is the same doctor who said Manny is 100% and fit to fight when asked by NSAC.

Not a reputable doctor if you ask me. A reputable doctor would be stuck by his diagnosis.


So I have to admit, that same doctor may have lied about the nature of the injury.


Also have to admit, as a huge pacquiao fan that I love dearly, the roach had the wrong game plan. Roach was quoted numerous times saying he trained Manny to avoid Floyd's traps and to back off and reset. That's what Manny did in may2nd.


I also will admit top rank uses Floyd's name to sell tickets.


I also believe Manny used other peds at some point especially since he admitted to smoking METH. Manny turned pro at 14 - that means he smoked METH as a fighter. = drug cheat.



I hate to admit it, but I have to give Floyd credit for destroying my life.

Mayweather probably could have beat prime manny but we deserved to see the fight the manny who beat Cotto and hatton but Floyd waited until manny washed up on purpose

Maybe if Pacquiao had fought a better fight, he may have won, too. I was rooting for Pac and feel he did better than everyone says he did, but Roach admitted after the fight that he and Manny went into the bout without even so much as a solid game plan. That's just very short-sighted for pros like them, especially after all the years they spent angling for the fight.
