If he'd gone to the body like that Joshua definitely would not have recovered. All he had to do was play it safe the first minute of each round, then take Joshua's energy with body shots the last minute or two of the round, and go for the kill when the moment was right in the last half of a round. Instead Klitschko got lazy with his defense early in the last round of the fight, and Joshua caught him with an uppercut when his arms were still rested from the break between rounds, and Klitschko got hurt, Joshua got a shot of adrenaline from hurting his opponent and the crowd going wild, and that was all she wrote. But Klitschko definitely would have won if he'd capitalized on his advantage differently.
Very well put. It wasn't a case of AJ not gassing out, it was Wlad allowing him to recover instead of feinting and getting him to exchange and exerting pressure.

As for the rematch I'll be happy either way as his brother said:

"To be honest, Wladimir has nothing more to prove. I do not know any other boxers who have gathered as many titles and defended them all, dominating for more than ten years. He has nothing to prove, but whatever decision he makes - I will support him," Vitali said

exactly man. he tried to get him out of there and he couldn't. This narrative that people are parroting about Wlad letting AJ survive is nonsense.

The problem with that is Wladdy could have gotten gassed too going after Joshua had he not been able to finish him. Remember Wladdy has had stamina issues too. So it may not have been bad advice.

Dozens of left hooks? Stop already, Wlad was boxing to win rounds, which he was doing quite well... till he got caught.

People see what they want to see so i'm not going to argue. Agree to disagree. Let's not forget who got knocked down first though. If AJ had kept his composure instead of prematurely celebrating and thinking he won the fight he could have knocked Wlad out way sooner. You'll see in the rematch

How many guys has he knocked out? Over 50. Either way it was a great performance and I think whatever decision he makes is fine. If he did beat him in a rematch, that is huge. Even if he lost again, he won't kill his legacy. That isn't going anywhere, not to mention his giant bank account.
Didn't Vlad got dropped it first? Why are people making a big deal out of Joshua being dropped? Anything to discredit Joshua's win. Bet if they fight again Joshua will ko Vlad sooner?

I don't disagree with your conclusion about the rematch. The way to beat Wlad, at least if you have the talent to do it, is to come right at him. After Joshua got decked, he seemed to lose a little of his confidence and his aggressiveness suffered because of it. Joshua, even at this point in time, isn't going to win a conservative boxing match with Wlad, if he doubted that before their first fight he doesn't now.

Vitali is being a good brother. If Wlad could have knocked Joshua out he would have. Joshua showed a lot of heart to get off the canvas. He could have easily gave in after being dropped and hurt. It wasn't only about the mistakes Team Klitschko is using as their excuse.
