But I disagree with your view on fighting Takam ; Carlos is a much easier fight and winning the IBF title would make Pulev champion which means he would be unifying : now in the scenario that you present Pulev would be coming in as a challenger so I dont see how this benefits him -- and to make matters worse you say he got no money?! Hearn and Sauerland are on good terms. I'm sure Sauerland has a reasonable idea of what Pulev would make fighting Joshua and what he would make fighting Takam.

There's no guarantee Pulev would beat Takam. So it would be a risk whereas even if Pulev loses to Joshua, there is a fortune to be made.

I can understand this point view - it is guaranteed BUT the opponent that he would be facing is not considering how the first fight was so competitive ; as I said in a earlier post he might be facing Klitschko ( who has already brutally knocked him out. ) -- I guess Pulev just wants the money and is not thinking about ever going down as a world champion...its also very telling that he would pass on Carlos Takam for the chance of becoming world champion and have a greater claim in a unification.

Then you got the problem with Luis Ortiz as the WBA mandatory, possible injuries a long layoff etc...I just dont see how this is the right move.
