Although jacobs wasnt an undefeated fighter after the early loss to pirog, he had a winning streak extending many years, and certainly physically he did not resemble to scrawny kid that fought pirog. In fact he was the significantly larger fighter against golovkin.

To his credit jacobs did good work in a few rounds, but was outlanded in the vast majority (8 out of 12), and knocked down. The most surprising thing for many, is that jacobs shots did not put any sort of dent in golovkin.

This must change a fighters mentality, from thinking offensively they can do damage to anyone, to shots bouncing off the opponent. The aura of invincibility goes, especially considering against the smaller guy he resorted to having to fight on the back foot.

So will jacobs be able to reclimb the mountain so to speak? After recovering from an explosive loss to pirog, will he be able to recover and work his way back into contention after a convincing loss to golovkin?
He should be the same fighter, he didn't take a high amount of punishment. If anything, he should fight a bit more confidently, and be more of a killer now in the ring.

Jacobs will probably avoid Charlo, just like Golovkin, and Canelo will.

I've said this many times. I do dislike LLLenady and Manny Poochman, but I really dislike their rabid fanbase the most. Those fans are a cult of trolls that poison boxing.

I could find many threads where people discuss Glovecunt as being the best MW of all time...with wins over obvious #2 PFP ever in Danny Jacobs and #3 PFP MW ever in Kell Brook.

I mean, let's be serious here. He's done what he's supposed to do, just like Leo Santa Cruz had before fighting Frampton, but he's not some world-beater. Not by any stretch. Jacobs - who is far removed from any PFP list - is a good MW, but he's been KTFO against Pirog and KD by the Malignaggi of MW in Sergio Mora. And to save face the rabid LLLenady fans say "Jacobs cheated because he weighed too much". WTF??? The dude MADE WEIGHT and rehydrated however he saw fit. He arguably won the fight and gave a good account of himself.

So it's not that I don't like LLLenady or Manny, I just can't do their irrational fans

Maybe not. Austin Trout did pretty good against him.

I dont think he should return to MW. I think that was Jacobs finale @ 160.

I must say Benavidez is impressive. Lighting fast combinations. Here's what Benavidez said about Golovkin after he sparred with him:

I agree. For Pete's sake, Jacobs was a cruiserweight on fight night against GGG and still he couldn't put enough hurt on GGG to slow him down.

Considering Canelo didn't stop either Chavez, Jr. or Cotto, I don't see him phasing GGG. I will be surprised if GGG doesn't stop Canelo within 6 rounds.
