This is great. Charlo will be the wbc mando to the winner of Canelo vs GGG. That's a dangerous fight for all 3 involved.

"Heiland has been sitting in the top contender position for a very long time. He's been in position for a title shot since 2015."....and his reward? Fight Charlo!!

If the original gameplan was to unify the titles, wouldn't he be fighting BJS? GGG is trying to get paid and there's nothing wrong with that. He isn't getting any younger.

This is exactly what made G finally, and I mean finally, accept a fight with a live, breathing opponent. G finally realized, if he did not agree to face Canelo he would have to fight Charlo. That and/or a rematch with Jacobs. Loeffler, who has long ago admitted the whole 154-168 thing was a lie, that wanting Ward and Froch were lies, that G was happy fighting no names. Now Loeffler knows there is a very good chance G would lose in a mandated fight with Charlo. Worse yet, Charlo could win a purse bid and G would have to fight on Showtime or vacate his belt. Charlo-Canelo is already shaping up to the next real super fight. A few hardcore G fans and the usual Mexican diehards behind Canelo will give Canelo-G decent ratings, but Canelo-Charlo is the next mega-fight.
