If Kovalev gets robbed again, I won't follow boxing anymore

How is what Ward did any different than what Maidana and Hatton did to Floyd? Or Lucas Matthysse's tactics in some of his fights? Or Abel Mares in some of his fights? Why is it only dirty when Ward does it?Comment

They are fighting in Nevada. You mean kovalev trying to defend against Ward Billy goating on the inside and him grabbing kovalev every time in close?
It is illegal in boxing to hold, period. So if ward is warned and deducted for that then I'll have no problem with kovalev being treated the same if he engages in illegal tactics.
But what do you think about three American judges? Would you have an issue if the fight was in Russia with a Russia ref and threw Russian judges?
Show me one time where an American has fight overseas and there was three judges and a ref all from that country?
Broom vs Spence had American and other non english judges in England.
Wilder vs povetkinwas going to have American judges in Russia.
Yet why is this acceptable? Is America above it?
3 American judges are completely normal.
And, by your reckoning, Kova shoulda been DQed the first fight.Comment

I voted no but not because I want the officials to favor my favorite fighters. The officials should score the fights correctly and not favor either boxer. Boxing has always had bad decisions and some flat out robberies. That will never change. Of course it would be better if all fights were scored correctly but that is only possible in a fantasy world that doesn't exist. I score my own fights and my score card is the only one that matters to me. If the officials scored the fight for the other guy rather than the fighter I scored the winner I refuse to recognize their decision. I will always consider Kovalev the winner of the Kovalev vs Ward fight and Pacquiao the winner of the first Pacquiao vs Bradley fight. That's how I deal with bad decisions and continue to love boxing.
Don't you think a way to prevent that would be to bring in foreign judges? And not three American judges (again).
Would it be acceptable if thisbfight was in Russia to have three Russian judges and a Russian ref?? Lol the posters here would be going crazy. But it wouldn't happen cause Ward would never agree to it anyway.
There hasn't been a single time when an American fighter fought abroad that he was subjected to all judges being from that country.
Why shouldn't kovalev be granted the same?Comment

the only time ward could land a punch was when he had kovalevs arm locked or after locking him and pushing off. how was that not an issue? he was completely outboxed otherwise. even if you count those illegal shots he still loses but it was the only way he made the fight even somewhat competitive.Comment

Who said I didn't think they were dirty? Hatton's style revolved around holding and Maidana/Mayweather 1 was a very dirty fight from both sides. Didn't notice Matthysse though.Comment

Cool, so it should be completely normal for the time an American fights in Russia to have three Russian judges, right?
Let the Nevada commission do their job, doe, right?!?!
Like back five years ago when Floyd complained about wanting another authority to oversee drug testing - he was out of line to request that because in Nevada it's co peltely normal for them to use their normal protocol, right?
LET THE COMMISSION DO THEIR JOB, DOE!!

lumping all those guys together...what nuance. the false equivalency argument. everythings equal therefore wards cheating is ok! sorry not buying that. ward started it by continually leaping in and locking kov's arms. if the ref had reffed a good fight he would have stopped ward from cheating and thus prevented kov from responding with headlocks but he did not. also how many low blows did ward get away with in that fight? it was insane. sorry thats body work when you are a fanboyComment

You know it Kovalev needs a knock out and the way Ward holds and never is never called on it it's very difficult. Like I wrote before Black Americans are protected by corrupt US judges and refsComment
